Description
The Fungal Rod is a special rod in Fisch featuring fungal clusters, sprouting lucky spores. There is a 70% chance for the Fungal Rod to grant the player Luck IV for 45 seconds after catching a fish.
Obtainment
The Fungal Rod is rewarded for completing Agaric's quest in Mushgrove Swamp. To earn it, the player must bring Agaric an Alligator—a symbolic act of revenge against the alligators that once targeted his family. Upon presenting the Alligator, Agaric allows the player to keep it and rewards them with the Fungal Rod and the Vigilante title.
Notes
- Players can switch rods during the 45 seconds of Luck IV; the luck boost will persist.
- Fungal Rod was the first rod that gives additional buff apart from it’s own luck stat, the second being Krampus' Rod
Enchantments
It is not recommended to enchant this rod due to its mediocre stats, but it is still viable for certain situations where some luck is needed.
The recommended enchants for this rod are:
Hasty, to improve the -10% lure speed
Resilience, to improve the 0% resilience should you hook a legendary or mythical fish.
Trivia
- The Fungal Rod is one of two rods currently obtainable for free by completing an NPC quest, the other being the Magma Rod.
