Etymology[]

Mana is an indigenous Pacific Islander concept of an impersonal force (false ego) or quality that resides in people, animals, and inanimate objects.

The Mana Sword stems from its own series, being the eponymous sacred sword of the Mana Goddess of the world of Fa'Diel. Much like how crystals are a major story foci of Final Fantasy, the Mana Sword plays a similar role within the Mana series, and has different incarnations in each of its installments.
