The Emperor of Envy is a minor antagonist in the Big Idea franchise, The VeggieTales Show. He is commonly known for trying to take over Bumblyburg by using envy. He has two henchman named Frank and Jesse.
Background[]
The Emperor of Envy made his first appearance in the LarryBoy chapter book "LarryBoy and the Emperor of Envy", where he and his henchman Frank and Jesse set a trap using slushies to make nearly everyone in Bumblyburg envious, including LarryBoy.
He later appeared in The VeggieTales Show episode of the same name where he infects the League of Incredible Vegetables with his envy formula with the help of his henchman Frank and Jesse (voiced by Mike Nawrocki and Joe Zieja, respectively).
Physical appearance[]
In his first appearance, he was a red cherry tomato with a blue shirt and covered by a red robe. However, in his second appearance, he is a yellow cherry tomato with a light reddish-brown mustache, two buck teeth, large nerdy glasses held together by what appears to be a light brown rubber band, green "hair" with a curl in the front, and a polka dot bow tie.
