Junior Asparagus

Junior Asparagus in the tritagonist in the Big Idea franchise, VeggieTales. He is Bob and Larry's good friend and one of the most active co-stars.

Background[]

Junior is a typical child and has taken a lead or title role in several videos, including Where's God When I'm S-Scared?, Dave and the Giant Pickle, Lyle the Kindly Viking, and Lord of the Beans. He is also a member of the boy band "Boyz in the Sink", along with Larry, Mr. Lunt, and Jimmy Gourd, which have appeared in several Silly Songs. Junior can also frequently seen in videos with his parents, named simply "Dad and Mom Asparagus".

In the initial episodes, Junior was as much a main character as Bob or Larry, having a starring role in at least one segment in every episode - even appearing alongside Bob in Josh and the Big Wall and Abe and the Amazing Promise where he replaced Larry on the sink counter and interacted with the story's characters. As the series has evolved, his role has become less pronounced such that Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen would become the first episode in which Junior did not make an appearance. However, Junior continues to be featured prominently with leading roles in such movies as Lyle the Kindly Viking, The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's, and Lord of the Beans.

Personality[]

Junior is a kind and friendly young asparagus who believes and loves God. He can be impatient and make things wrong sometimes, but always learns from grown-ups about God, such as his good friends, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber.

Physical Appearance[]

Junior, like most vegetables, have white eyeballs with black pupils. He has green hair and his body is green. He usually wears a yellow-and-red hat in a tilted direction.

He is sometimes seen wearing his shirt, which is a polo with red-and-white stripes.

In VeggieTales In The House and VeggieTales in the City, he no longer wears his hat, and his eye colors change into amber.

In the VeggieTales Show, as the characters use their classic designs from the original VeggieTales, Junior reverts back to his classic appearance, but he remains hatless.
