Larry the Cucumber is the deuteragonist in the Big Idea franchise, VeggieTales. He is Bob's best friend and most of the stories who performing as the protagonist.
Background[]
For many shows he has acted as co-host for the show with Bob, such as Where's God When I'm S-Scared? and Lyle the Kindly Viking, he was replaced as host in Josh and The Big Wall and Abe And The Amazing Promise by Junior Asparagus and in Sumo of the Opera by the little cucumber puppet Lutfi.
Personality[]
Larry is cheerful, kind, silly, energetic, accident-prone, moral, and goofy. At times, he is leader-like. He is in some ways quite the opposite of his alter-ego LarryBoy. As LarryBoy, he is tough, brave, fearless, adventurous, and serious.
Physical Appearance[]
Larry is a tall green cucumber with black eyes. He has a one tooth.
In VeggieTales in the House and VeggieTales in the City, along with the other characters, Larry was redesigned, where he gained eyebrows and amber eyes.
In the VeggieTales Show, as the characters use their classic designs from the original VeggieTales, Larry reverted back to his classic appearance.

- He is the only VeggieTales protagonist to appear in every episode of the show.
- He along six other characters remain with their voice actors in 2014.
- Larry-Boy's vehicle is the Larry-Mobile, which was designed by Big Idea artist, Joseph Holch, to look like himself. It can fly, drill through the ground, and serve as a submarine (LarryBoy's Cartoon Adventures Book series). Revealed in his Chapter Books, it can also be a snowmobile.
- Larry-Boy has his own video game for Playstation 2 and Game Boy Advance based off of LarryBoy and the Bad Apple.
- Larry-Boy's Temptation is chocolate.
- Larry-Boy's favorite superhero is the Green Lantern; he's super and green.
- Larry-Boy's greatest fear is popping balloons.
