Zaynaya is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She made her debut in the second episode of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and is portrayed by Sheila Awasthi. Zaynaya is an attendant of the Islamic Masjid of Jersey City and avid social media user.

At the Islamic Masjid of Jersey City, Zaynaya proceeds to take selfies with her friend, during Sheikh Abdullah's sermon, when Auntie Zara appears before the two girls to reprimand them, and takes their mobile devices away. She tells the duo that snapchatting in the mosque isn't allowed, and Zaynaya corrects her by stating she's using Instagram, but Zara shushes her in response.[1]
At the end of Abdullah's sermon, Zaynaya heads over to shoe rack, and finds Nakia Bahadir, unable to locate her shoes. She notes that the Mosque Shoe Thief has struck again.[1]
On the day of Eid, Zayanaya attends a local festival held by her mosque. That evening, she and other attendees are alerted to the screams of Hameed, who is found hanging by a curtain, attached to a rail of the minaret. A superheroine known as Night Light, approaches Hameed in an attempt to rescue him and Zaynaya capture her efforts on her phone. Before Hameed can safely climb onto the roof, the construct shatters. Night Light manages to create smaller constructs below him, as he descends, to cushion his fall, but nonetheless, he drops onto the hood of a car, injured. Zayana and the others in the proceed to gather around him in response.[1]
Following the heroic actions taken by the masked super heroine known as Night Light against the Department of Damage Control, she is widely celebrated across social media, by members of the local community. Zaynaya is amongst the members, and expresses praise in having a hero that looks like her.[2]
