The Mandalorian & Grogu is an upcoming American space opera film. It is directed by Jon Favreau and co-written by Dave Filoni and acts as the "fourth season" and follow-up to the television series The Mandalorian. It is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2026.

Production[]
The film was announced in January 2024, with a production start date expected later that year. It will be theatrically released.[5]
On January 27, 2024, it was reported that the film was scheduled to start production on June 17 in Los Angeles.[6]
On February 7, 2024, during the Q1 earnings call, Bob Iger confirmed that the film would be released sometime in 2026.[7] Later that day it was confirmed that it would be released on May 22, 2026.[8]
On February 28, 2024, it was reported that the working title of the film was "Thunder Alley".[9]
On May 10, 2024, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Sigourney Weaver was in talks to join the cast of the film.[10]
Filming began in July 2024, in Los Angeles.[1]
On August 27, 2024, Weaver confirmed that she had been cast in the film.[2]
