The Book of Boba Fett is a television series focusing on the character Boba Fett. It was released on December 29, 2021 and concluded on February 9, 2022. It was first teased in the post-credits scene of the season two finale of The Mandalorian.
The series was revealed in the post-credit sequence of the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, "Chapter 16: The Rescue", along with the title and release window.
Filming[]
By late November 2020, filming for the series began in Los Angeles, California. COVID-19 safety guidelines were followed on set, with crew members wearing masks and face shields around actors, rapid testing for COVID-19 every three days, and normal testing for the virus once a week.
Boba Fett and Fennec Shand face an escalating conflict.

This series is the first major live-action Star Wars production to introduce a character originating from Star Wars printed media, as Wookiee bounty hunter Black Krrsantan was first introduced in the Darth Vader 2015 comic book series.
Previously the character Thrawn from the animated series Star Wars Rebels was also brought into the canon from Star Wars Legends.
Cobb Vanth from the Aftermath novels was also previously introduced as a guest character in The Mandalorian.
