"New Gods on the Block!" is the sixty-fifth episode of DuckTales. It premiered on November 9, 2020 and is the fifteenth episode of the third season.
Plot[]
Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby are on a mission to retrieve the helmet of Henghis Kahn from giant silk worms. Despite their careful planning, they fail to retrieve it and come home empty-handed and distraught. Della comes and tells the kids that Scrooge will easily get over it, which he does. However, he declares that he will gather a new team to retrieve the helmet. Hearing this causes the kids to feel bad and believe that Scrooge does not think much of them. At that moment, Selene and Storkules arrive with a powerless Zeus. Selene reveals that they have taken Zeus' wreath crown from him because he has been abusing his powers and are looking for a new holder. While Selene wants to give it to Della, she suggests letting the kids try it so that they can feel important, and she reluctantly concedes.
Meanwhile, Storkules goes off to see Donald who is on his boat setting up his second date with Daisy. As she arrives, Storkules begins to coddle the couple; asking Daisy personal things and shoving himself into their conversations. Daisy quickly grows irritated as Storkules fails to realize that he is causing trouble for the couple. Eventually, Storkules tries to use Cupid's arrows on them, but they fall into the pool where Daisy discovers that Donald has been dumping his trash underneath. She angrily leaves as Donald wallows and Storkules mopes to himself.
Selene sets up auditions for the power of the Gods for the kids while Zeus tries in vain to retain his title. He makes a quick call to his brother Hades to release the Titan so that he can defeat it and regain his godly powers. However, Hades refuses mostly because it is ill-advised, but also because he finds Zeus' predicament amusing. Louie is the first to audition and the wreath grants him Midas golden touch abilities. He goes to Duckburg Park to try them out and quickly causes destruction when he accidentally turns everyone and everything into gold. Selene brings him back and turns everything back to normal. Huey is up next and is granted supreme intelligence and goes downtown to try it out. However, his abilities end up upsetting people around him due to his bluntness, causing his brain to get bigger every time he tells the future and is brought back to the house.
Webby is given the wreath and tries to use her powers to make everyone at the Duckburg Pier happy, but in her haste and forcefulness, she comes off as destructive and scares everyone. Dewey comes in to audition with a dance, completely forgetting that he was auditioning for God powers, and immediately fails. The kids all become hopelessly depressed. Zeus encounters a mopey Storkules and hears of what occurred with him Donald and Daisy. He manipulates his son into releasing the Titan by punching a giant hole in the ground. The Titan and rises and immediately goes for Donald. Daisy, witnessing the event while driving away, turns around. Just as Scrooge is about to leave, he and the rest of the Duck Family rush out to see the commotion.
The Titan devours Donald, angering Daisy who yells that it killed her "boyfriend", making Donald happy who is still inside alive. The Titan quickly devours Selene, Storkules, and Zeus while Della and Scrooge argue with one another. Della informs Scrooge that the kids feel bad because he does not thank them or tell them how great they are. Scrooge finally tells the kids that they will never be Gods, but that they are the best team to him and that they can solve anything regardless of having powers or not. As Scrooge and Della get eaten, Daisy confronts the Titan while the kids take the wreath and share it; using their powers to defeat the Titan and releasing their family and friends.
Donald and Daisy share a kiss as Storkules ineptly declares that the three of them will make a great team. Scrooge once again apologizes for not being up front with the kids. Zeus pathetically regains his wreath, tosses a weak thunderbolt at the Titan and kicks it back into the crack. As he claims that he defeated the Titan, he trips and falls into it as well. As everyone walks away nonchalantly, Hades can be heard laughing at Zeus' new predicament, much to Zeus' dismay.

Trivia[]
- The title is most likely a reference to the boy band New Kids on the Block.
- The original DuckTales also had an episode title referencing them - "New Gizmo-Kids on the Block".
- The Theme song is shortened in this episode.
- This is Daisy's second appearance in the DuckTales reboot, following "Louie's Eleven!".
- This episode marks the fifth appearance of Zeus in the series, following "The Spear of Selene!", "Storkules in Duckburg!", "The Golden Spear!", and "Moonvasion!".
- Donald and Daisy have already had their first date between "Louie's Eleven!" and this episode.
- Cupid appears in the episode, having been tied up by Storkules, thus rendering him silent.
- Scrooge's second team was apparently going to consist of Penumbra, Miss Quackfaster and D'jinn.
- Storkules' line "Father, not in front of the mortals" is a reference to a similar line spoken by Timon in The Lion King.
- One of the residents in Duckburg at the park resembles Melissa Chase from Milo Murphy's Law.
- The giant silkworms guarding the helmet of Henghis Kahn may have been based on the Mongolian death worm, a cryptozoological worm alleged to exist in the Gobi Desert.
- Ironically, Zeus' plan to release a titan to take over the Greek Pantheon (albeit in this case to defeat it) and his final fate of falling deep into the underworld are similar to that of Hades' in Hercules.
