Asahi Naruhaya, recognized as the blue lock yellow hair guy, previously belonged to Team Z. He held a strong conviction that he should be the team's primary forward. This belief, however, sparked a dispute within Team Z, with every player asserting their right to be the striker in the subsequent game. The team's predicament escalated following a defeat to Team X, threatening their continuation in the competition.

Personality[]
Naruhaya is a very kind and responsible person despite his playful personality, as he maintains his family and once tirelessly tried to search for Gagamaru's hair tie when he lost it (as reported in the Egoist Bible).
He is aware of his weaknesses and abilities in comparison to others, making it clear to Isagi that he knows that he won't be picked if he were to lose in his 2v2, seeing himself and Isagi as ordinary players who can't go as equals with true talented and genius soccer players such as Baro, Nagi, or Bachira. This awareness pushed him to try his best for his match. His awareness reaches the point of losing, and he fully understands why Isagi was a better player than himself.
He's very mischievous, stealing food and being the jokester of Team Z. He also cares for his family; his standing as one of the eldest siblings motivates him to play.
In his match with Baro 2v2 against Isagi and Nagi, Naruhaya shows that he's always known that he wouldn't last any longer in Blue Lock, and after losing, he feels powerless but also relieved due to being aware that he is not fit enough to pursue his goal to become the best striker in the world, and for him, it was only a naïve and stupid dream, but also satisfied due to being capable of reaching the Second Selection, and before leaving, he wishes the best of luck to Isagi and encourages him to keep winning.
Abilities[]
Archetype[]
False 9: A false nine is a player who appears to be playing as a center-forward (traditionally in a number nine shirt) but drops deep or pulls wide, disrupting the opposing team's marking. Usually, the center-forward will be marked by one of the center-backs, but the false nine will often move away into a neutral area, causing a dilemma as to whether the center-back follows (isolating himself from the other center-back) or stays where he is, making himself redundant.
Asahi is extremely good at disrupting the opponent's formations with his clever off-the-ball movements.
Skills[]
Off-the-Ball Movements: A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Like Yoichi Isagi, Asahi uses off-the-ball movements; however, Asahi seems to be much more experienced and skilled with this ability. He uses this skill to break defensive formations and has keen analytical ability, using the skill in the right place at the right time. He is also good at moving in other players' blind spots and can get past even Isagi with the skill.
His favorite subjects are Physical Education and History. His least favorite subject is Modern Japanese.
His favorite food is grapefruit. His disliked food is the black part of sazae.
He thinks the best thing to have with rice is gyozas.
His favorite color is white.

He has a fetish for thighs.
His foot size is 25 cm.
His zodiac sign is Pisces.
His dominant leg is his right side.
The team he played for (before Blue Lock) is Kanau High School Football Club.
His motto is "Happy of happy."
His character color is Caramel.
His strength is that he's honest with himself. His weakness is that he doesn't really think about others because he's always thinking about his family.
