Born and raised in the Upper Cumberland, Wesley Adkins is a multi-talented individual whose passion for serving others shines through in every aspect of his life. He has excelled as an Affiliate Broker and Principal Auctioneer with Highlands Elite Real Estate, as well as holds the role of Operating Partner at Panera Bread’s Cookeville location. With a diverse background that includes experience in the dental field, property management, and the restaurant industry, Wesley understands the importance of building meaningful and lasting relationships. Outside of work, Wesley remains deeply involved in his community. He is an active advocate in the Ambassador Program for the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and supports various charitable organizations, including the Putnam County Fair, Upper Cumberland Pride and Habitat for Humanity.

Raised on a working tobacco and cattle farm in the Spring Creek area, Wesley comes from a long line of community leaders and entrepreneurs. His family's legacy of public service, including his father and grandfather's combined 20 plus years as County Commissioner for the 12th district, instilled in him a strong sense of civic duty and responsibility.

Wesley cherishes his roots and is proud to call the Upper Cumberland home. Alongside his partner, Benjamin Gamby, he resides in the same area that his family has farmed for generations, surrounded by their beloved animals.

  • Educational vouchers DO NOT help our students, our schools, our teachers, or anyone involved in public education in our great state. We MUST fully fund our public school system in order for them to thrive and perform at the highest level possible.
  • Women's reproductive health rights are not a privilege, they are a necessity. Every woman deserves the autonomy and control to make their own decisions regarding themselves.
  • Gun violence is the leading cause of death for young people in the State of Tennessee. We can help keep our communities safe and maintain our ability to own firearms.

I really look up to my Dad. He has a servant's heart and a willingness to serve and improve his community for everyone.

Honesty and integrity should be the cornerstone for any elected official. It is necessary for the earned trust of their constituents.

To be a fair representative of their constituents, and work towards meaningful legislation for the people they serve.

The September 11th attacks were the first major historical event in my lifetime, and I was in 7th grade!

Sonic! I worked there from the time I was 16 until I graduated high school.

There should be a fair, impartial relationship between all levels of government and its affiliates to help foster and promote the efforts of the collective group!

With our current tax schedules and continuing legislation, I believe our state will be poised to deal with a significant financial burden in the next decade. We must have a plan to ensure we have the funds necessary to operate our state and continue to improve.

No, I firmly believe that the majority of politicians who have been previously inclined in politics are a big part of what keeps meaningful progress from happening for constituents across the state and beyond.

Absolutely! You must be able to work with your colleagues, even when your views and ideas are different. There is massive opportunity to implement legislation that would have a positive impact on ALL Tennesseans.

Education, Healthcare, Agriculture

Everyone deserves to have transparency and accountability within all forms of government, from local all the way to the federal level. I believe this in turn helps build the trust needed for a productive and beneficial relationship between legislators and constituents.
