Ted Terry (Democratic Party) is a member of the DeKalb County Commission in Georgia, representing District 6. He assumed office on January 1, 2021. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Terry (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the DeKalb County Commission to represent District 6 in Georgia. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Ted Terry was born in Tallahassee, Florida. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 2005. Terry's career experience includes working as an executive director with a nonprofit organization. He has been affiliated with the AFL-CIO, the Sierra Club, and with the NAACP.[1]

|Ted Terry served as the Mayor of the most ethnically diverse square mile in America: Clarkston, Georgia from January 2014 - March 2020. Ted is the youngest Mayor in Clarkston's 135-year history. With more than 17 years of experience in public service, Ted is leading Clarkston's vision to become a more welcoming and compassionate community. As mayor of Clarkston, Ted successfully oversaw the implementation of a bold, progressive agenda including a $15 minimum wage for city employees, the decriminalization of simple marijuana possession, an expansion of after school programs, and a commitment for Clarkston to utilize 100 percent clean energy by 2050. Ted has also represented Clarkston at a United Nations meeting on refugee resettlement and at the German Marshall Fund's Young Policy Network Conference on Migration.
