Lisa Marie Neilson was a judge of the Wayne County Probate Court in Michigan. She assumed office in 2012. She left office on May 3, 2022.
Neilson ran for election for judge of the Michigan 2nd District Court of Appeals. She was disqualified from the primary scheduled on August 6, 2024.
Biography
Neilson received her undergraduate degree from Madonna University, her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and her master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Before her appointment to the Wayne County Probate Court, Neilson was of counsel to the firm of Dickinson Wright. She was also a partner of the law firm of Zivian & Neilson and was a staff attorney for the Oakland County Probate Court. Neilson has been affiliated with Phi Kappa Phi.[1][2]
