|I am an Eagle Scout, US Army Veteran, Father, and Business executive, and Hispanic Immigrant born in the Dominican Republic. I pride myself as an expert in leadership with years of leadership experience and community outreach. I specialize in civil and criminal investigations as the CEO of a Disabled Veteran and Minority certified criminal Investigation firm that operates in Texas, New York, and Connecticut. I am a staunch supporter of the United States Constitution, and I believe in equality for all Americans.
- Parental Rights are fundamental for the growth of our generations to come. Ensuring that parents have a say in our children's education, medical intervention, and way of life is vital for parents and not a role of the Federal Government.
- The 2nd Amendment is part of our constution and what i defended as a US Army Soldier. The 2nd Amendment was ratified in 1791 to give the people the ability to defend themselves against a tyrannical federal government and to defend oneself and property. I completely support the 2nd amendment.
- Crime affects everyone regardless of political party. I support our law enforcement and first responders. I support new comprehensive legislation that will tear down the walls of liberal policies and form a wall of penalties for criminals. Our current system allows criminals to evade responsibility, endangering the health and welfare of our lives, our children's lives and our communities. I am tough on crime..
I am very passionate about the quality of life for single parents. Too many single moms and dads who work 4 jobs a day to put food on the table, while able bodied individuals take advantage of the government handouts. I am very passionate about parents rights especially when it comes to what our children are taught in the classroom and what medications our children should be getting. I am very passionate about governmental overreach and the role social media and the media have played on our country in recent years. For far too long we have allowed big tech to stifle the views and opinions of opposing parties simply because of ideology. I am also very passionate about how we can improve the homelessness population. I believe as a society we can do better to help those who truly need our help.
The Deficit and combat readiness
I support term limits for both House and Senate members.

Campaign website
Goodwin-Castillo's campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Crime As crime has skyrocketed in democratic run cities across the nation, the minority communities in Dallas are suffering the most. Dallas is rated as the 6th highest crime ridden city in America with a crime rate averaging at 37.2 in 2021. Meanwhile the average violent crime rate in the United States is 22.4 in 2021. Property crime in the city is 50.7 in 2021 while the average property crime rate in the nation is 35.4 in 2021. With liberal policies, lack of support for our law enforcement, ideologies portrayed through the lens of “wokeism” by our political leaders, Hollywood and the media pundits, crime will continue to rise and affect our minority communities. The children in our schools and the hard-working men and women operating small businesses are affected by the lack of leadership and constructive legislation the most. While the Department of Justice focuses on “angry school parents,” murderers, rapists, and rioters rampage through the streets of minority communities, destroying their very ways of life for the last year and half. Vehicles and other means of destruction are being used as weapons while the liberal policies of cash bail in our judicial system allow perpetrators to strike, killing innocent men, women, and children. As we watch our judicial system crumble caused by liberal judges who care more about ideology than criminal law, we must put safety back in our communities. Inflation I remember a time under former President Donald Trump when gas was $1.68 a gallon. I remember a time I could cook breakfast for my family for less than $20.00. Today cities across the nation are averaging $4.85 a gallon for gas and in some states $8.48 a gallon. We must ask ourselves what happened? People were lied to based on a false promise of change. While single mothers and fathers are working three jobs a day in Dallas, with their child in daycare, the liberals, socialists, and progressives are traveling to billionaire homes for the holidays. While the Latino, black, and impoverished communities struggle to put turkeys on the table, gifts under the trees, and continue small family traditions like the tooth fairy and Santa, Biden and the Bernie Sanders of America are living the highlife in mansions across the nation on our tax dollars. The citizens of Dallas, the hard-working parents, communities, and churches need to cut back their already small expenses so they can heat their homes over the winter. Texas is home to some of the largest oil refineries in America. Joe Biden and his marionettes are canceling pipelines and begging OPEC to help instead of helping the average American. Parental Rights For far too long we have allowed our teachers’ unions and school boards take control over our education system. They lurked in the shadows of night as parents worked during the day. Little did we know that a pandemic would pull the curtain and the backstage would be illuminated exposing their indoctrination. Children being taught that biology is not real and that science is subjective to ideology when it comes to biological gender. Except, they demand we “follow the science” for covid and vaccines even though the results of long-term studies have not been acquired. The liberal mob tells us we have to mask our two-year-olds in stores, but elected leaders can go to crowded parties without masks. When the federal government implements policies, stripping parents’ control over how they raise their children, what health recommendations they are demanded to abide by and what bathrooms they can use in school, it disingenuously creates hostility between parents and arbitrary government and school policies. Approving transgender bathrooms while circumventing parents in the middle of the night has only led to assaults on school grounds and lies from the board members. Child molestations, rape, and abuse has infiltrated the schools across America. Children are being taught CRT in public schools across our nation as the board members deny it exists. Thank the Lord for screen grabs. Many of these schools in Fort Worth, Dallas, Loudin County VA, San Francisco California, and many others have CRT still posted on their webpages. Even with the evidence, the progressive wing of the Democratic party denies its existence while at the same time saying, “CRT is important.” What happened when parents found out? They used their constitutional right to speak up and say NO. They challenged the school boards and educators on national TV. They brought the policy books to the board meetings to show the world the truth. What did Biden’s arm of the Federal Government do? They called us parents terrorist, white supremacist, racist, and more. The Biden Administration and our local liberals decried that any parent that disagrees with what their schools are teaching, need to be investigated and “tagged” by the FBI. They denied its reality during congressional meetings, and they denied the reality to parents faces until whistleblowers came forward. Texas legislators from the democratic party specifically in Dallas even “fled” the state in a temper tantrum while not wearing masks on the flights or in federal buildings in a bid to deny the governmental body quorum because they didn’t like the laws being proposed. 2nd Amendment America’s basic principle of self-defense is enshrined in our Second Amendment of the Constitution. It is vital we bolster these rights as time ages us. The right to bear arms was ratified in 1791 to give the people the ability to defend themselves against a tyrannic federal government. Remember, America was founded on rebellion against tyranny. The Biden Administration and the “woke” left are intent on destroying the one way we protect our homes, our family and ourselves. We must never allow the federal government and local legislators deprive us of our rights to safety. While crime rises in Dallas, we need our communities to protect themselves lawfully. The liberal mob castrates those who oppose the very fabric of the constitution but only when they see fit. Many of our democratic leaders and progressive wings of government want to take our guns away, while hiring armed security for themselves. “Rules for thee but not for me” is a bird chirp compared to the roaring voices of Dallas Texas. We will not let our democratic colleagues take our guns nor will we let the far left and the socialist party take our ability to defend ourselves, our homes, and our American way of life. Healthcare It is no secret that healthcare costs too much for everyone. Essentially, we are all one medical bill away from bankruptcy even if you have insurance. The Affordable Care Act passed the Senate 60-39 along party lines on December 24, 2009. On this day former President Obama again reaffirmed it would lower the costs of healthcare. The promised effect of ACA failed because government-centered healthcare does not work. Patient-centered healthcare system based in free markets is the solution to drive down the cost of healthcare. While, big Pharma raked in the money from the insurance companies, the co-pays your grandparents paid in coins from the leftover social security checks, narcotics and other prescription drugs on the streets exploded. The Drug Enforcement Administration says Dallas is one of eight transportation hubs for methamphetamine in the United States. Seizures induced by the drug went up more than 120% in the U.S. between 2017 and 2019, according to a news release from the DEA. In Dallas alone, seizures were up 430% in 2019 compared to 2018. While we worry about race and “equity,” we should be more worried about the systemic mental health crisis affecting our Dallas community. We need real leaders, not activists, media pundits, and social media warriors. The money our “leaders” spent on frivolous lawsuits and investigations against former President Donald Trump, could have been allocated for mental health, lower healthcare costs for our communities, lower prescription drugs for our children, elderly and disabled care. Kelvin will fight for families to be able to afford healthcare services without compromising the quality of those services. Affordable Housing It’s no secret that rising housing costs are plaguing not only our nation but our District in Dallas. Plain and simple, our dollar is not buying us the same quality homes that it once did. The most vulnerable of our society are struggling to pay rent and find a place they can call home. We need to stand up and develop a plan to increase the affordability of housing for all members of our District. Kelvin will always execute comprehensive common-sense plans and actions. He will do more than just talk; he will act. Programs will be developed to ensure that no Veteran in the Dallas County is without a place to call home while simultaneously lowering housing costs for us all through strict policy reform and an America first approach. Immigration Immigration is a topic that is not as complex as everyone seems to think. We have immigration laws that have been on the books for decades. The only thing that changes in the swamp of DC is who is in charge of enforcing laws. Our democratic colleagues only love immigrants when they think they will get their vote. Our Republican colleagues support strong border and legal immigration. Immigrants make up over a third of our workforce nationwide. While every system in government seems to be broken, immigration should not be one of them. Instead, we have politicians that talk all day, lie about the conditions at the border, demonize our strong border patrol agents for political points, and try to degrade the moral of our immigrants who come here legally. We need comprehensive overhaul of our Immigration programs. We need to support and reward those who follow the law rather than reward those who broke the law. Having anarchy on our borders only hurts our communities and deepen the pockets of our legislators. Year after year we have heard broken promises, lies about immigrants being “whipped,” but when the truth comes out those same activists have nothing else to say. Kelvin will fight for immigration reform; I will pass legislation that not only improves the lives of our immigrants but entices more legal immigration because we are all family at the end of the day. Veterans Veterans are this nation’s backbone. America was founded on the principle that we are free. Free from mandates, free from tyrannical governments, free from the oppression of society. How did we achieve all of this? Individuals formed groups and those groups formed coalitions that we now call our military branches of service. A coalition that proves to be vital to our democracy and our very way of life. A coalition that would answer the call to defend the newly found colonies that would make up America today. These coalitions are macerated with the blood, sweat and tears of Veterans. All the branches of the military protect our very way of life. To be able to walk to school without worrying about incoming mortar attacks. So that our children can attends schools without the worry of a terroristic bombing. Our veterans fought on American Soil and across the world to uphold diplomatic sovereignty. Our veterans need more mental health support, housing support, education support, and community support. Our veterans answered the calls when America needed them, and now Veterans need their districts support. Kelvin will work together through organizations and leaders through legislative action to gain more support for veterans in our community. Our Veterans should not have to struggle to get medication, and appointments at the VA. The Dallas VA system is rated as the worst VA care center in Texas by actual veterans not “pollsters.”[2] |
