John Charles Watrous (1801-1874) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Texas.

He was nominated by President James Polk on May 27, 1846. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 29, 1846, and received commission that same day. He was assigned to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on February 21, 1857. He resigned on April 19, 1870. Watrous was succeeded in this position by Joel Winch.
