I am best known as the founder of Camp Bow Wow, where I turned a lifelong passion for dogs into the largest pet care franchise in the world after the loss of my first husband at the age of 27. My entrepreneurial spirit helped me pick myself back up and build Camp Bow Wow. It also inspired me to build SheFactor—a digital and live community that aims to empower young women to pursue a life they love.

I have been named one of Fortune magazine’s 10 Most Promising Entrepreneurs, and one of Parade magazine’s top women entrepreneurs in the country. I’m passionate about giving back and in 2013 founded Moms Fight Back, and later the Fight Back Foundation, charities to tackle the most pressing issues facing our kids today.

In addition, I am the only statewide elected Republican, serving on the University of Colorado Board of Regents, overseeing a $5 billion budget and over 30,000 employees.

I am an author, inspirational speaker, community leader and philanthropist. I am married to Jason Ganahl, a BBQ Champ and restaurateur. I have four children – Tori, Hollie, and twins Jack and Jenna ranging in age from 10 to 27, a lab Henry and a grandpup Poppy!

  • Let’s make it affordable to live here again! CO has the 2nd highest inflation rate in the nation, over 15% MORE than when Biden took office. Living here in CO you shouldn’t have to choose between buying groceries and gas or getting your kids the school supplies they need. When Polis took office, gas was $2.20. Today, it’s almost twice that much - a side effect of his push to implement the Green New Deal here in CO and put the oil and gas industry out of business. As Governor, I’ll UNLEASH CO’s economy and put more money back into your pocket - by taking our state to 0% income tax, cutting red tape to make housing affordable again and cutting the gas tax in half. I will put our energy workers back to work and be a voice for rural Colorado!
  • Let’s make it safe to live in Colorado again! Jared Polis’ soft-on-crime policies are endangering CO communities. We are the 4th worst in the nation for increased crime and thanks to Polis, CO is the most dangerous place in America to be a kid. CO became #1 in auto-thefts, #1 in bank robberies, #1 in cocaine usage, #2 in property crime, #2 in fentanyl deaths and #4 in recidivism. Law enforcement is telling how their hands are tied, they can’t keep anyone in jail, or protect the streets from theft and violent crimes. I will be a law and order governor. I will replace the parole board, stop our sanctuary status, appoint tough judges, declare a state of emergency on fentanyl, keep repeat offenders in jail, and clean up our streets.
  • If our kids are not ok, nothing else matters. Our kids are in crisis. We have the 2nd highest drug addiction rate for kids in CO and the 7th highest suicide rate. 60% of our kids can’t read, write or do math at grade level, they are being taught nonsense in the classroom and violence at schools is skyrocketing while SROs are told to stand down. In DPS, only 5% of Black and Hispanic kids are reading at grade level. I will make sure our kids can learn to read and write by 3rd grade with a commonsense curriculum, that is transparent to parents. I’ll make sure parents have the power to raise their kids with the values they are raising them with, and that the funding follows the families if they need to make different choices around school.

I am passionate about preserving the American Dream for our kids and making sure all Coloradans have the opportunity I did to live the American Dream. To address the huge gaps in learning and better partner with parents, we will work to fund the family, not the system. We must ensure transparency in the curriculum and boost fundamentals like reading, writing, and math — which is why I’ve championed several education efforts as both a CU Regent and concerned parent over the past several years. I want to ensure schools are safe places for our children to learn and will encourage school districts to utilize School Resource Officers and/or enhanced security measures. Critical reforms to our family courts and welfare system will help our children thrive — which is why I started my charities, Mom’s Fight Back and Families Fight Back. It’s important to me that we reduce the size of government by removing unneeded regulations and creating policies that encourage job creation — as a small business owner myself, I’ve seen firsthand how government red tape can suffocate our businesses and our state's economy. As I’ve traveled the state, one of the biggest policy issues I’ve been affecting families of Colorado is the issue of fentanyl. We must end Colorado’s status as a sanctuary state to combat the flow of fentanyl. I will treat fentanyl as the poison that it is by re-criminalizing fentanyl possession in any amount.

Campaign website

Ganahl's campaign website stated the following:

SAFETY

  1. We need to return to law and order, with a strong parole board, truth in sentencing, and bail reform that does not allow for the release of repeat offenders.
  2. Supporting our law enforcement community and providing resources for recruiting and training will be a priority.
  3. Let’s address addiction with compassion for all involved, including more access to care but with consequences for criminal behavior.
  4. We can stop rampant homelessness by ending public drug use, prosecuting criminal behavior, using outcome-based funding models, and cleaning up our streets and parks.

COLORADO FREEDOM

  1. The cost of living is out of control in Colorado. We will lower taxes and fees and give all Coloradans a government that works for them.
  2. Mandates need to be replaced with trust in Coloradans to do the right thing.
  3. Small businesses like restaurants and child care providers need support. We must remove unneeded regulations and create policies that encourage job creation.
  4. We must prioritize incentives for smart development and reduce the red tape preventing affordable housing.
  5. Restoring voter confidence in 2022 is paramount. We can achieve that with increased transparency, accountability, and oversight.

FAMILY

  1. We’ll take real action to address our state’s mental health crisis and tragic teen suicide rates. We can accomplish this by shifting to outcome-based funding models, using emergency authority to add mobile response units and thousands of beds for treatment, and launching a recruiting and training effort to support professionals.
  2. To address the huge gaps in learning and better partner with parents, we will work to fund the student, not the system. We must boost fundamentals like reading, writing, and math rather than spend time on controversial concepts like critical race theory.
  3. Critical reforms to our family courts and welfare system will help our children thrive.
  4. Colleges and universities should be held accountable for a student’s success.
  5. We’ll create a task force and public awareness campaign around the dangers of current drugs.

RURAL COLORADO

  1. The environment is important to all Coloradans. An all-of-the-above energy approach will ensure we have affordable energy that is clean and safe.
  2. We will protect farmers, ranchers, and property owners’ mineral and water rights.
  3. Let’s fix the roads across our state. We must ensure that Coloradans can get to and from work, our ski areas and the beautiful Western Slope.
  4. We will aggressively manage our forests to address fires.
  5. We will develop broadband in gap areas and create employment opportunities for rural Colorado so children can stay in their hometowns.[4]
