Elections for the Virginia State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on June 9, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 26, 2015.[1] Incumbent George Barker was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Joe Murray was unopposed in the Republican primary. Barker defeated Murray in the general election.[2]
