David Segal (Democratic Party) was a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 2. He assumed office in 2007. He left office in 2010.
Segal (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2022.
Segal served on the Providence City Council from 2003 to 2006.[1]
Biography
Segal earned his B.A. in mathematics from Columbia University in 2001. His professional experience includes working on Nightline, "The Hill," as a Freelance Journalist, for the Columbia Daily Spectator, and for American Broadcasting Corporation World News and as a Teacher/Tutor at Wheeler School from 2001 to 2002.[1] Segal co-founded and has served as executive director for a national advocacy nonprofit organization.[2]

2010
On May 10, 2010, Segal announced he would be running for the Democratic nomination to succeed Patrick J. Kennedy in Congress, stating, "Now more than ever, Rhode Island working families need someone in Congress who will stand up to powerful interests and win victories for working families."[3]
2008
In 2008, Segal was elected to the Rhode Island House District 2. Segal (D) ran unopposed and finished with 3,668 votes.[4] Segal raised $35,444 for his campaign fund.[5][6]
