Court of Criminal Appeals

A Court of Criminal Appeals is a limited jurisdiction appellate court, most commonly created to alleviate a state supreme court from a heavy case load. Courts of Criminal Appeals are typically the courts of last resort for criminal cases, and are thus considered (one of a state's two) supreme courts.[1]
