County auditor

A county auditor is a public official responsible for maintaining county budget records and other financial documents for county government. This position is also known as county controller, county auditor-controller, or county comptroller. A county auditor may be tasked with regular audits of the county's financial records, fiscal analyses for county and state officials, and financial reporting to county government during budget discussions.[1][2]
