I am a mother and a wife. I have been a Judge for nearly 12 years and a lawyer for 29 years. My commitment to Bexar County is to follow the law, work hard and treat all litigants and attorneys with dignity and respect. As a trial attorney I had extensive trial experience, which has been invaluable to me on the bench. I am also a credentialed mediator and spent 5 years volunteering my free time mediating cases for our community prior to taking the bench. Since becoming the Judge of the 22th District Court, I have been invited by the Texas Supreme Court to be a member of its Advisory Committee to help shape future rules and procedures of courts statewide. I am also the Chair of the statewide committee for court reporter licensure. I am the Chair of the Bexar County Civil Courts Committee which has worked hard throughout the pandemic and beyond to keep our courts working for our community. I was also appointed as a Multi District Litigation Judge for four years over seeing oil and gas litigation for multiple counties in South Texas.
  • I will continue to work hard, follow the law and give the family law matters the time and attention that they deserve.
  • I am a trusted, compassionate and experienced judge. Bexar County needs as many experienced judges as we can get on the bench to continue to work on backlog of cases created by the pandemic.
  • The civil district courts make some of the most important decisions in a person's life, including family matters, property, injury and contracts. These positions should not be partisan politics. Our community deserves experienced, ethical and knowledgeable attorneys/judges in these positions.
I am passionate about the law and its equal application to everyone. It should not matter what your party affiliation is, what your gender is, what your occupation is or your social or wealth status. Everyone should be treated fairly and equally in our judicial system. .
