I was raised in Oak Ridge, TN - a unique place that brings together a diverse community of people with different backgrounds, cultures, nationalities, and religions (and NO! we don’t glow in the dark!) I am a proud product of public schools, having graduated from Oak Ridge High School with Honors. My childhood was filled with Girl Scouting, Wildcat Volleyball and Rowing.

My college years were spent at Vanderbilt University in Nashville where I rowed on the club team, developed lifelong friendships and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Minor in Business Administration.

My journey took me to New York City where I worked in the Financial industry for over a decade. While attending business school at night, I earned my Master of Business Administration in Accountancy from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and moved into Corporate Accounting in the Cybersecurity Industry. Aside from work and study, my life was filled with travel, theatre, and Ultimate Frisbee.

The Coronavirus pandemic changed most of our lives, and it caused me to reevaluate the priorities in my own life. I chose to move back to East Tennessee to be with family and hopefully make a difference in the state that I love and have always called my home.

I currently serve as Board Member of the Oak Ridge Playhouse, a volunteer for Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachia, Treasurer of my HOA, and as a Representative for District 6 in the Knox County Democratic Party.

  • Women deserve the freedom to decide when, where, how, and with whom to start a family without interference from state or federal governments.
  • Public Education should be fully funded and no taxpayer monies should be spent in the private education sector. Our educators deserve fair pay and ample resources, and our students deserve an equitable, comprehensive education.
  • Gun safety legislation is necessary to reduce the number of intentional or accidental gun violence in Tennessee, including licensure, safe storage, and reasonable red flag laws.

Any individual that hopes to make the world a little better. I believe Dolly Parton exemplifies the best of humanity - from the creation of the Imagination Library, college scholarships for local high school students, donations to marginalized communities and Covid vaccine creation, to showing love to everyone regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation or socio-economic status.
