Carma Dennis McGee is a judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals Western Section. She assumed office in 2019. Her current term ends on September 1, 2030.
McGee ran for re-election for judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals Western Section. She won in the retention election on August 4, 2022.
On April 10, 2019, Gov. Bill Lee (R) appointed McGee to succeed Brandon O. Gibson on the court. The Tennessee General Assembly confirmed McGee in April 2019.[1][2]
McGee was a chancellor for the Twenty-Fourth District Chancery Court in Tennessee from 2014 to 2019. She was appointed by Governor Bill Haslam (R) on March 6, 2014, to fill the vacancy created by the death of Judge Ron E. Harmon.[3]
Education
McGee received her undergraduate degree from Union University in 1993 and her J.D. from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in 1998.[3]
