Alan Waldrop was a judge on the Texas Third District Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position in August of 2005[1] and was elected to a full term on November 7, 2006.[2] Waldrop resigned from his seat on the Third Court on September 2, 2010.[3] His term was set to end on December 31, 2012.[4]

Education

Justice Waldrop received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1987.[1]

Career

Justice Waldrop began his legal career as a briefing attorney to Federal District Judge Walter Smith. In 1988, he joined the law firm Locke, Lidell & Sapp. He worked with this firm until 2005, when he was appointed to the Court of Appeals. Also, from 1993 to 2000, he taught at the University of Texas School of Law.[1]
