好熱菌

好熱菌(こうねつきん)は、至適生育温度が45°C以上、あるいは生育限界温度が55°C以上の微生物のこと、またはその総称。古細菌の多く、細菌の一部、ある種の菌類や藻類が含まれる。特に至適生育温度が80°C以上のものを超好熱菌と呼ぶ。極限環境微生物の一つ。
