- What is Automotive SPICE?
Automotive SPICE is the de facto standard in the automotive industry for evaluating and improving development processes of software-based systems in and around the vehicle. - What is SOTIF?
SOTIF stands for “safety of the intended functionality.” This concept refers to ensuring that a system performs its intended functions safely, even in the absence of faults. This concept is crucial in contexts where systems operate autonomously or semi-autonomously, such as in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles. The SOTIF standard ISO 21448 addresses scenarios where hazards arise from the system not performing its intended function safely due to environmental conditions, incorrect sensor data, or other unforeseen operational circumstances.
