What should I name my azteca gelding?

No I really do. I work at a show horse barn so I'm curious.
As for the members reply. Yes I owned a show bred TWH. She had a known sire so I was encouraged to show her or work towards that. I had no interest for lack of funds that would be needed.
I knew of her sire's owners having been in violations with him and other horses they owned. I learned some of the stupidity involved.
A barn contacted me and wanted to work with my horse. No expenses from me if I partial leased to them to show. She wasn't even broke to ride at the time so I thought hey that'd be a lot of free training and I'd have a nice broke horse soon enough and also room and board etc etc.
They were a TWH barn. One visit and I knew no way they would touch my horse. Even with what I'd get out of the deal, no way.
My barn is a QH barn and there is nothing abusive there but I learned the TWH world can be very disgusting.
When I finally let my horse go it was with no registration or any hint at her bloodline. That surely cost me a bundle but I knew it would keep her out of the show world or brood mare because of pedigree.
Oh so you do know the abuses involved. Good for you protecting your TWH.

It's like anything, there's always more to know.
When have a newish horse now that came here because he needs rehab and the owner knows my boss from way back and trusts him.
He's a show horse and got an injury at a different trainers barn. The owner said the trainer was wishy washy about what exactly happened. Final story was he spooked being unloaded and backed into something causing a back leg injury but he had no reason or anywhere to be going in a trailer.
Vets discovered a slight back injury and expected it was from being flipped. The trainer denied any such thing. Second vet visit vet said that's what the injury looked like to him nothing else he could think of would explain it.
It's just a mess and so many questions unanswered. I don't get it. Horses sometimes do stupid stuff. I've seen them do stupid stuff that either has or could of caused injuries.
The run around from that trainer is sus. The horse world is too small for trainers to be doing stupid stuff if they want to keep a good reputation.
Maybe that has me curious about this subject ATM.

@TyTheColt since we derailed your thread maybe I should at least suggest a name.....

This is the bump. The vet said it was from bumping it on something.

How old is Gumby?

Ya know, I don't believe animals can be "stubborn." .... ask me why, if you want to know. (I taught basic dog obedience for over 15 years.)
Same I think it's more of a connection you need with the animal. At a stable I use to go to there was a grumpy gelding that no one could ride past a walk, and then this 10 year old girl comes rides him and they become one! she got him to trot he listened to all of her cues! It was a really beautiful thing to see!

At least 20, the vet said he could be older. She also wants to do jumping, and Gumby can’t do it because of arthritis and he doesn’t like to jump.
