I’m especially concerned now with my roosters latest symptom. About a few months ago, one day I went out to the coops and found the one rooster in question with a swollen comb. He had no other symptoms and was acting like his usual normal self, still eating, drinking, talking up a storm, etc.; he did have the comb thing but nothing else, so I was wondering if it was an insect bite or an allergy of some kind. Fast forward to this am. I ran out to all the coops today before work, and that same rooster now suddenly had what I assume is a crusted-shut, watery-looking eye (doesn’t look foamy, just watery). It looked like he had mash stuck around his eye that I gave him, but with the eye shut and containing discharge, I am super worried. He does not have any type of respiratory symptoms (jinx knock on wood), and as far as demeanor goes, he’s still his typical lovely self! What do you think is happening?! Could it possibly be MG even though he isn’t presenting with any respiratory symptoms? Photo attached!

It could be MG with a swollen eyelid and gunk on his head. I can’t tell much from the picture. Can you get another tomorrow showing his eye, face a comb? Tylosin powder in the water 1 tsp per gallon for 3-5 days can treat MG. If you get testing that could confirm what you are dealing with. Have you added any new birds to your flock in recent weeks?

I have a video but I am not sure how to upload it I do remember I can’t upload it like I just did the photo though that much I remember. Can’t I use the liquid if I dose him orally directly in beak? (I know I read you shouldn’t put injectable in water bc they won’t get correct dosage that way) I have LA200 the liquid injectable in class jar and Tylan 50 (In glass too) can I use that? Especially seeing how I can’t just run to tractor supply and grab some anymore. I haven’t added any new chickens in a long time other than the babies from my own broody eggs that she laid and then hatched.
