The Joy That A Child Can Bring

Photo credit goes to:The Masters Table and On Wings of Eagle

A child held in the arms of a parent is always a sight to behold. Every so often, we see a mother or father gently holding a child at a park, inside a church, a mall, or other places where people usually go. This tender scene always strikes the heart.

The scenario was no different when the parents of Jesus presented Him at the temple in observance of the Jewish tradition. No Less than Simeon was so delighted and grateful at the sight of Jesus. Joseph and Mary must have been filled with pride and happiness during this encounter. We also feel proud and happy when people take notice and admire the child held in our arms. Not only do we feel blessed having contributed to humanity, we also feel proud being a vital part of an institution called family.

Children are God’s message of love for all. They are always precious in His eyes. For as long as there are Children, the human race is assured to exist and for children to flourish, they need a family.

Looking for A Miracle

Google Images and Beyond Bones

It has been some two thousand years since the Wise Men followed the star of Bethlehem to the manager of the Christ-child. Theirs was a long journey made in faith. They sought Christ and their efforts paid off. They found Him.

But the centuries have passed. The star the Wise Men followed is no longer visible in the night sky and Christ is no longer a baby in a manger. Yet many of us still seek signs, wonders, and miracles to prove that God is still in our midst. Many of us need such manifestations to bolster our sagging faith. Many of us relish the extraordinary manifestations of the Spirit that the Christmas story provides in abundance. We want miracles, we want to be able to touch God, or else we simply refuse to believe, like the disciple Thomas.

True, the star can no longer be seen, Christ is no longer a baby in a manger. However, the miracles of God continue. Too often, what’s really missing is the to see those miracles in the daily events of our lives.

An Adult's Mistake that something to ponder

Perspective have Change. An adult's mistake is to immediately teach the youth.

I have to teach you” but the youth say “I’d rather learn from experience”.

I’d have to correct you”, But the youth say “Correct me in a nice way

You have to learn fast”, but the youth say “I have many interest, I’ll pace my own learning.”

Do it my way”, but the youth say “What makes you say your way is the right way? Being youth belongs to us, dont we know better?

Christmas Spirit

How would you define the Christmas spirit? Would it be a friendly smile between strangers, the sound of familiar carols, a tree with twinkling lights in a sea of brightly wrapped packages, or just that good feeling you get this time of the year?

None of these elements captures the real meanin of the phrase. They represent feelings that may be a response to the commercialism that distorts the real spirit of Christmas.

Secret to Success

Last June 2, 2010 we had a seminar on values formation. One of the topics mentioned and discussed by the resource speaker Mr. Francis Kong is about the secret to success. I want also share and point out the keywords on being successful individual.

Secret #1 Wake up early.
Secret #2 Walk fast
Secret #3 Work fast, Work hard and Work smart
Secret #4 Eat less but eat right
Secret #5 Play hard
Secret #6 Make yourself beautiful
Secret #7 The last but most powerful...PRAY hard.

Yes, work and play are two different things that indispensable in life. We can be off balance if we overlook either one. Work makes us feel needed and productive and it essential to health and happiness. However, overwork is counterproductive and dehumanizing. Both our bodies and minds need time to rest and strengthen our spiritual life.

Getting Over

What a hurtful experience I been through after a broken relationship with a trusted friend. I remember for the last 5 years we were together working in the some company. We shared our experiences and resources. We dream big and even we had planned what would life be together after 10 years. It never realized because of just one mistake committed, Dishonesty that leads to disrespect between both parties and include our families. I was so depressed and my world seems too heavy to carry.
At this time, I was able to overcome these painful experiences with the help of my friend advices. In addition, even lend me a book. Time heals. Little by little, I learned to accept the reality and deals with such relationship smoothly. Now we were happy and  getting along well.

Steps in Blogging and Building Rapport

It’s been, 5 years since I started blogging and not taking it seriously. At first, it’s a kind of off and on in doing my posts. Until, I reach to the point of boredom because I only limit to myself. I did not know, the proper etiquettes the do’s and don’ts, If any in blogging. I didn’t apply any network activity to have traffic. I just waited for visitors to visits and did not visit any at all.

Good news, a friend of mine encourages me to write back again. Gradually, I’ve learned in doing so... There’s really a pattern in blogging. I mean, steps in building rapport. I did it for exactly 12 weeks and I’ve seen great changes in my blog.

Here’s what I did:
Post;
Visits other sites;
Leave Comments;
Comment/s back.

Wow, if I only knew these patterns then my 5 years are not a waste. I think it’s always been a hard to start at the very first time. Right now, I’m grateful because I 'm not alone. I got friends online, I’ve learned something new and advises from them, and got a rank in Google.

As days pass by, I’ve learned and missed two essential things in blogging. Acquiring a domain and settle for web hosting. I been to couple of web hosting sites and read reviews. However, I'm still unable to decide, what web hosting to settle in?
This is my concern, please help me out? Your advice is highly appreciated.

Equally Talented Disabled Dancers

Choreography by Zhao Limin
Performed by Ma Li and Zhai Xiaowei

What a beautiful day to someone
Who uses and share his talent
And will be blessed forever.
They are like trees growing beside a stream
Always have leaves and bear fruits regularly.

For those who failed to acknowledge his talent
They are like dried leaves blown by the wind
They are helpless and useless.
God works in different ways. He fills in
What is lacking in us.

You may be blind yet you give us sweet
Music to hear like a bird singing in a bright
And lovely morning
You may be deaf and mute yet you painted
With full of surprises like a colorful rainbow
A midst the falling rain.

You may be crippled yet you dance
Gracefully like a swan swaying around the lagoon
Thanks GOD for all these great TALENTS
Be grateful for we are equality bless in HIS perfect time.

Summer Classes

School is not yet over!I've seen familiar faces again and again. It was my first week of summer classes. Unfortunately, many students failed in regular school year or semester, about to 2-3 subjects. And now students enroll summer classes to be able to transferred or promoted to higher grade or level.
Oh...What a waste of time, effort and financial assistance of going back to school. If only they value the real essence of education and embrace changes in their lives. As what John F. Kennedy said “change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future”. Pretty sure, they'll be more fruitful, productive and can enjoy summer break.

Me and Botoctoy

We are in different world
I am a human, you are not.
But what keep us together as one:

Since I was child, I had a fear.
Seeing someone like you makes me
Quiver and melts like an ice on a hot surface.

There was a time even in my sleep
I awake with tears in my eyes
After meeting you in my dream.

But when we are introduced
To each other, my life changes.
I hate you at first; you were just like the rest.

As days passed, i learned to love you.
My day is not complete without
Seeing your smiles.

Rest assured, I will always
Be here for you
Till the end of time

My beloved
My best friend
My loyal pet
