fall atc

Hello bloggers!
I'm back again with another atc. I enjoyed the last one so much I wanted to do another for my atc album and Inspiration Emporium.
I wanted to use my Tim Holtz mini blueprint set. I stamped the oak leaf stamp with Archival Jet Black ink on a Tim Holtz journaling ticket, it fit perfectly, YAY, they are perfect for atc's and the mini blueprint stamps!
I stamped the oak leaf again on cream cardstock and colored it in with Distress Markers in dried marigold, rusty hinge, fired brick, tea dye and worn lipstick, I did some blending with the water brush. I cut the leaf out and embossed it with clear embossing powder on VersaMark ink and adheared it to the ticket.
I took the VersaMark pad and swiped it on the edges of the ticket and embossed it with black embossing powder for some distressing. I used my tracing wheel around the ticket for some faux stitching and put mini fasteners in the corners.
I cut a 2.5 x 3.5 piece of Tim's 8x8 collage paper and adhered it to the card base. Then I dry embossed it with the woodgrain texture fade. I put Archival coffee ink on the raised areas of the card. I added 2 more pieces of paper then I did some faux stitching on the sides. Finally, I adhered the ticket to the card.
That's it!
I hope you'll give atc's a go if you haven't already, I really like them, they're fun to collect!

A Crafty Secrets Halloween

These are the new Crafty Secrets stamp sets.
Yes, we all know how I love Halloween and all things scarey, did you know I own every Stephen King book that he's written, read them all but the Dark Tower series, never could get into those. The man can scare you and crack you up all in one paragraph. Can you believe he was an english teacher before he made it big in writing?
OK, enough about Mr. King.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 The vintage images in these sets are so fun. The labels are perfect for your bottles of brew or signs like I used on the tag. I LOVE the chain stamp, it's so perfect with this set and for little details.
For the tag I added Distress Dried Marigold and Dusty Concord with my blending tool. I dipped a paint brush in water and flicked it on the tag for the water drop look. I think that adds so much to a distressed project.I used me Dylusions Luscious Leaves stencil on the top and right edge and dabbed on paint with my pitch black Paint Dabber, let that dry and added some highlights with my Gelly Roll white pen. I stamped the cawing crow candy label and colored it with Copic markers y15, yr18, g21, bv02 and e57. I stamped the spiders and the sign arm hanger thingy, I know there's a better name for it, lol, and chain. The Spooksville and little scene along the bottom are from the Jolly Hallween set.
I finally jumped on the washi tape wagon and added a couple of pieces under the green button brads. I added black Kaiser rhinestones on the corners of the sign. The chipboard star is covered with Martha Stewart Onyx glitter. I colored the white seam binding with the Distress inks. I added a trinket pin and type charm C for candy :) through the ribbon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a atc card I made with the Jolly Halloween set.
I stamped the black cat sitting on the pumpkin on paper and did the cracked glass technique. I covered it with VersaMark ink and poured on clear embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. I did that 3 times and put it in the freezer to harden up faster, then I bent it to get it to crack. I put it behind the Autumn Leaves silver frame. I used the Cracked embossing folder on the base paper and went over it with Distress Vintage Photo and Black Soot ink and a blending tool. I cut the strip of polkadot paper and used the lace stickers on the top and edges. I stamped Boo at the bottom and the cute little skeleton. I stapled on some black May Arts lace with my tiny attacher. The moon it covered with more Martha Onyx glitter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I hope you have some fun with the new Crafty Secrets Halloween stamp sets, they are a must have for Halloween lovers!
fairies and pixies
Good Morning!
I have 2 atcs to show you made with the new Crafty Secrets Fairy Wishes and Pixie Dust stamp sets.
Oh my.....how cute are these sets?! Adorable!!
The one on the left is made with the Fairy Wishes set. I stamped the fairy, bird, xox and the scroll along the bottom with Archival Jet Black ink. The background papers are printed from the new Crafty Secrets  Creating with Vintage Typography CD. I colored the images with Copic markers e00, rv11, r83, bg72, g21, y17, y0000 and b21. I added glitter to her wings and Amuse twinkle stickers to her antennas and by the bird. I used my tracing wheel for the faux stitching around the edges. I used my blending tool and Distress Vintage Photo ink to distress the edges. I attached some May Arts zigzag velvet ribbon with my tiny attacher.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the rectangle one I used the Pixie Dust set. I used mostly the same supplies. The Copic markers I used are g82, yg23, bg72, rv11, e57, w3 and e00. I used some mini pompom trim. I stamped one of the flowers again and popped it up with a piece of a foam dot for a little dimension.

Head on over to the Crafty Secrets blog and see what's going on, there is always something fun!
Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Go Green ~ Inspiration Emporium

We're going green at Inspiration Emporium this month. I'm doing a St. Patty's day theme with a punched shamrock and a 17 plaquette by Ideaology. I was thrilled to find the 17 in the plaquettes for St. Patty's day, perfect!
I wanted to do an ATC, I love them and have a collection in a book I made for them and I'm always trying to add to it. My ATC's are the lumpy bumpy kind, the more I can put on them the better!
The base of the ATC is made with paper from the Kraft Resist Paper Stash, it's 2 1/2 x 3 1/2. I added color with my blending tool and Ranger Distress Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint ink. I cut some bookprint from the same pad and stitched it along the edges. I cut a strip of Vintage Lace and adhered it to the side and then I added the film strip with my Tiny Attacher. I made the shamrock with 3 punched hearts and a handcut stem. I glued them together and added the Marta Stewart green agate glitter. I popped it up on the ATC with foam dots. The corners are vintage photo corners that a friend sent to me. I love using them, so vintage!
Now, it's your turn! Upload your green creation to the Inspiration Emporium blog for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate. You can use my discount code ieirisgarden anytime for 10% off your order!

I hope you have a great day!
We're getting lots and lots of rain the next few days, and today is nice and warm, it's supposed to get colder though, I'm so ready for summer!

Halloween ATC's and a cactus story

Good Morning!
It's almost Halloween and I want to get in as many Halloween projects as I can, I love Halloween, I love scary movies, I love Stephen King, just sayin' :)
These ATC's here are not so scary though, the images are too cute! They are from the Crafty Secrets Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps.

 I colored the chipboard keyhole with Copic marker 100, glued the tiny image behind it and filled the hole with Glossy Accents. There is a tiny bubble right under the right eye, see it? It looks like a tear, ahhh. I glued the 31 bingo piece to a flat head pin and stuck it in the bow. I added faux stitching with my tracing wheel and put vintage photo corners on the corners.
 This little cutie is going on a haunted house tour. The text is from my vintage childrens Halloween story book. You can get the metallic black stickers at the top and bottom of this one from Crafty Secrets.

When I went to CHA in California a few years ago, we had a layover in Phoenix. It was storming as we (me, Tex and Joan) were running to our room and we were being bombed by these giant oranges falling off the trees. Me being from Arkansas, I was amazed by this, no orange trees here! Anyway, the cactus around the hotel were HUGE, they were in these HUGE pots scattered around and again, I was amazed. I fell in love with cactus all over again. I wanted to buy one at the airport gift shop on our way home, but, Tex wouldn't carry it for me on the plane, hahahaha.
After I got home I looked at the nursery in Clinton, where Iwork and the lady said she would never sell cactus, she was from Arizona and hated them, WHAT? So, I finally found this one and a couple of weeks ago it bloomed for the first time. HUGE blooms, beautiful! Isn't it something how this prickly sorta ugly looking thing can produce this. Again, amazing.

Mini Vintage ATC's ~ Crafty Secrets

I made 3 ATC's with the new Crafty Secrets Mini Vintage Creative Scraps. I absolutely adore these new scraps. The back side is just as pretty and fun as the front. Sandy is selling some necklaces that have blank pendants that are perfect with these scraps! Do you like to solder pendant, pins, magnets etc.? OMG, these scraps are for you! There are tiny words to put on your images, YAY! You can click on the picture of the scraps below or click on the link to see them bigger.
This is a close-up of one of the ATC's. I used the new Crafty Secrets Vintage Patterns CD on all of the ATC's. I love the pink flowers with the bird and nest. I made a flower using my Martha hydrangea punch, pink crepe paper, glitter and a pearl brad. I put Martha white gold glitter around the image, added some Kaiser pearls and a piece of vintage tatting along the bottom.
Here they are all lined up. Tim's memo pins are perfect for holding the ATC's, they are stuck in corks.

This one was fun, I used my 3/4" square punch to punch all of the tiny images. I distressed each one with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo ink and blending tool. I covered the bird with a Fragment using Glossy Accents. I colored the white seam binding with a blending tool and Broken China and Vintage Photo ink. I cut out the tiny words and put them on an office supply tag that's embellished with a Vintage Patterns paper scrap and Kaiser Rhinestones.

The last one has another gorgeous vintage image. I added a flower I made like the one above, but, I used Vintage Pattern scraps to punch the flowers. I added some pins, did some stitching and added some vintage lace.

Go check out the new Mini Vintage Scraps and see what you can create, you'll have fun with them, I promise!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you have a great day!

ATC's ~ Crafty Secrets and my weekend

Good Morning!
I have a couple of ATC's to show you and a few pic's of my weekend.

I made these with the new Crafty Secrets stamp set Art Studio. This set is perfect for the paper crafter. There are SO many great vintage stamps, I had so much fun creating with them!

I added ink to the card base with my Ranger Distress inks and a blending tool, then I stamped the word/paint brushes stamp over the Distress inks.

Then, I went to town adding embellishments and more images. I've had the metal corners for a loooong time. I got them on line at Bonnie's Best, I think it was? The ladies bracelet is a piece of a necklace I got at a flea market, it's plastic with rhinestones, I just snip off what I need. The heart ghost shape is covered with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with glitter.

Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Art Studio. Paper - CS Radiant Paper Pad, confetti cream cardstock, pink crepe paper. Ink - Ranger Distress inks, Copic markers. Acces. - sticky lace, linen thread, brown twine, button, Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes, t!m holtz idea-ology pieces, gold metal corners, Glossy Accents, glitter. Tools - HomePro LR tool for attaching the metal corners, Martha Stewart lace border punch, blending tool.

My little love.

he's tryin' out the 4 wheeler

I picked these up at a couple of flea markets Saturday. My kitchen has a lot of red and white checked stuff in it, my curtains, spoon rest, melamine plates (I got those in an antique shop in Branson, MO. I was giddy). I remember these coffee cups from long ago, they had names on them, you could pick out a cup with your name on it, although this doesn't have a name on it. I've decided I need a set of these to go in my kitchen. I think they would be cute on a mug tree sitting on my Hoosier.

Halloween ATC

Hello! I wanted to show you the ATC I made for a small SWAP I'm in with a few of my friends. I love ATC's, mostly because of their size. I put them in my ATC album and I like drooling over them every once in awhile. They all look so pretty all lined up in the baseball card size pages I use. I hope to fill that album up someday!

Stevie our host said we could do any theme we wanted, but, she really liked Halloween. YIPPEE, another chance to use some Halloween goodies!

I used several stamps from different companies on these, my fave little ghost by Anna Wight from Whipper Snapper, a JustRite Halloween stamp from their limited edition set and a tree & cabin.

I used some vellum that I've been hoarding forever called I Do Wedding Collection by EK Success for the ground. The tree and booo circle are stamped on paper from MME called Boo to You. The ATC bases are mini Halloween Bingo cards by Jenni Bowlin. Other supplies are eyelets, Spica glitter pens, Copic markers, tracing wheel, circle punch, black rick rack, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher & blending tool.

I hope you have a boooo-tiful Monday!

Here are a couple of pictures of some irises in my yard. The top one was a surprise, I don't remember planting it! The bottom is an old fashioned one, they are small but still so pretty!

I hope you have a great day! I'm in serious need of some vitimin D, I'm getting cranky!
It is SO soggy around here....geeeeez.

my friend and a fridge atc!

Hi there blogging buds!

I wanted to share a 6x6 scrapbook
page I made for my sweet friend
Maria, she has the book now, so it's OK to share. Several of her friends made pages for the book. She's had a rough time of it lately. She has MS and has had a set back. She's working really hard with her therapist now, no doubt she'll be stamping up a storm in no time!!

The picture of us was taken a couple of years ago at our stamping retreat in Minnesota.

Here's an ATC I did for another swap I'm in with some of my friends. The theme was a holiday, any holiday you wanted to do from Jan., Feb., or March. I decided to do New Year's. I got these cute little calendars at SkyBluePink at the beginning of the year. I think they're sold out now though. I knew I wanted to make little fridge ATC calendars with them as soon as I saw them!
Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets - Cherubs (flourish) Tim Holtz ATC Number. Paper - GP white, Basic Grey for the scalloped backing on the calendar. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose. Acces. - old dictionary paper, SU! felt flowers, ribbon, Tim Holtz Game Spinners and brads, blank playing cards- I adhered the stamped background to these cards to give the atc stability, pink foil trim from the Speckled Egg, red staple, old magnetic business cards cut in half and glued to the back of the atc, any kind of magnet will do. Tools - SU! scalloped circle punch, Nestie scalloped rectangle.

I hope you have a fantastic day, thanks for stopping by!
