I have carried one of these calendars for years, I keep up with everything on these calendars! I decided I wanted to alter a new one, here's the first one I made here on SCS, yucko, how sad is that, no layers and bling, just a wheel LOL! I was totally inspired by my friend Lisa Zappa's cute ones she did awhile back, how cute is that?!!
I used the new set Bird Lover's from Crafty Secrets, this is a must have for bird lovers, so many cute birds and sentiments! The sentiment is from the CS Mini Memories set. I used the Cosmo Cricket paper pack, Gretel, I love Cosmo!!
Did ya know Cosmo Cricket is one of my friend Mish's fave paper companies? Well, it sure is ;) She's doing some fun stuff on her blog celebrating her one year blogaversary. Today she's hosting a fun scavenger hunt and she's asked me to help her out. If you want to play along and be entered for the prize drawings, check out her blog HERE. There are 13 questions that you have to answer correctly. Mish has selected 13 of her blogging friends, including me, to each post one of the answers to her questions. So if you're playing along, you've come to the right place!
Good Luck!!
The bird and branch are stamped on a tag in the paper pack with Ranger Walnut Stain and colored with my Copic markers. I put some gold Martha Stewart glitter on the little flower centers. I used my trusty tracing wheel for the faux stitching, man, love that thing, thanks Sandy and Vicki, LOL!! I did a bunch of sponging on most of the edges and the corners are punched with my corner punch. Oh, look at the pretty shell button, I got those at a thrift store for.25, WOOHOO, I stitched it with linen thread. The white rick rack at the top is vintage, I got that at the coolest antique store in Conway, I need to take some pictures of the inside, they have loads of vintage and antique fabris, trims all kinds of vintage sewing notions. Anyway, this is the first time I've used this rick rack, I was sweatin' bullets making my cut, LOL, it's so pretty IRL, it looks like it's weaved with silk thread.
I hope y'all have a happy Friday, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter!
Just a short note to wish you a Happy Easter and I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends! Don't eat too many Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies though, you want to save some for tomorrow! We are having an egg hunt and enjoying the sweet smiling faces of my grand babies! Isn't this image cute? It's from the Crafty Secrets Kewpies set, I love this set and I use it often. The background is stamped with a stamp from the new Flourishes set and Certainly Celery ink, the big stamp is perfect for backgrounds and you can color it in if you want! The chipboard is from SU! and it's covered with paper from the Crafty Secrets Pastel paper pad. I used a corner punch for the top right corner and some purple bling I've had forever, the ribbon and rickrack is May Arts. I used my Marvy scallop circle punch to punch the white card stock, stamped the grass and flowers and then I stamped the bunny and Kewpie image, colored it with Copic's, cut it out and put it on the scallop with Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

beach ball babe
Good Friday mornin', my bloggin' friends! I've got another Sophie G to share with ya. This is the beach ball babe, LOL! One of the 15 new Riley and Sophie G's that Kristi at Hanna Stamps is releasing. I used the ball from the Getting Physical set to make her a beach ball.
The white background is embossed with the Perfectly Paisley embossing folder. I used my scalloped oval Nestability die to mat Sophie G on Basic Grey Phoebe paper. I used SU! Regal Rose, Basic Black and GP white card stock. I used a velvet flower by Maya Road and a black brad on her horn, LOL, that sounds really funny! See her sparkly bikini, that's Martha Stewart black and pink glitter. The polka dot organdy ribbon is May Arts, this is one of my fave ribbons! I stamped with my Ranger Distress Black Soot and colored with my Copic's.
Have a happy Good Friday and thanks for stopping by!!

do a little dance...
Here is my second sneak peek of the new Riley's Kristi is releasing this week at Hanna Stamps, 1 of the 15, HOLY COW, how FUN is that??? I just look at them all and smile, you just can't help it, they are soooo cute!! I think Riley and Sophie G are going to be the next Kermit and Miss Piggy, LOL!! I made a pocket card this time with a tag inside. You could use it for a birthday card or invite with a Hawaiian theme. I used the K & Co. Hannah Pad again, seems I keep reaching for that lately! The scalloped oval is cut with my Nestabilities die. The sentiment from Things Hanna Would Say is punched with my word window punch. I used my tracing wheel for the faux stitching and the corner punch for the bottom corners. The little knobby corners were punched with a Creative Memories punch. I used Martha Stewart Sage twill. Her little hula skirt is raffia I cut and glued to a strip of pattern paper. Her necklace is made with a tiny flower punch and they are glued on. I stamped with Ranger Black Soot and Walnut Stain ink and colored with my Copic's.

Hey Sunshine!
Isn't this the sweetest little Riley in his hammock? I just fell in love with him when I saw him. I love his tiny size, that really makes him look so cute!! Kristi at Hanna Stamps has some new Riley's coming out this week, WOOHOO, how exciting for all the Riley fans, I'm one of the biggest :) This has to be one of my FAV Riley's yet, look at the palm trees and his little drink, so cute! My friend Stevie is hosting a Spring ATC swap and I jumped on this stamp for the swap, I knew it would be perfect! I'm really getting into ATC's again, love the small size. I'm going to make me an album using heavy chipboard, binder rings and baseball card sleeves. I can't wait to decorate the cover!
Anyway, I used celery card stock, stamped it with celery ink using the flower from the SU! Fresh Fillers set. The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket Little Girls, I did some faux stitching on it with my tracing wheel. I stamped the image on GP white card stock with my Ranger Distress Black Soot ink and colored with my Copic's. I punched the image with my Marvy scallop punch. I put Martha Stewart Sage glitter on the palm leaves and colored his drink with Spica pens. The sentiment is stamped with Walnut Stain and it's from the Things Hanna Would Say set. I used some eyelets, gold cord and dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by and checking on me, I really appreciate it!
I'll have Sophie G doing the hula in a day or 2, FUN!
Have a great sunshiny day, although it's supposed to heavy rain here today, blech.

Happy Saint Paddy's Day!
Do you have your green on today? I sure hope so! OK, what is St.Patricks day anyway? There's got to be more to it than wearing green, pinching, and green beer! I think I need to go look it up, LOL! OK, I'm back, here is everything you need to know about St. Paddy's Day.
I paired up the 2 St. Paddy's Day Riley's from Hanna Stamps for this card, aren't those little guy's cute? I used the sentiment, actually, a word from 2 different sentiments from Things Hanna Would Say. I did some paper piecing here, I made big Riley some over-all's, look at his ginormous buttons :) they are some of those tiny, tiny buttons, I threaded them with card stock. I used my rectangle Nestabilities for the image background. The paper is from the 6x6 Hannah Paper Pad by K & Company. The buckle and brads are from the SU! Hodgepodge Hardware set, Antique Brass and the ribbon is May Arts. All of the sparkly's are from my Spica pens, I colored with my Copic markers.
I hope you have a wonderful day and don't get pinched!!

circle of canines
OK, the dogs aren't in a circle, but the card is! This is the cards & envelopes Carousel Notes by SU!, they are in the current Occasions Mini.
I combined the small & large breed Hanna Stamps sets for this card, and I didn't even use all of them! Can you pick out your dog? LOL! They are being released this coming Friday, March 15. The potted tree is in the small breed set, I really like the little tree, or is it a bush? I don't know, LOL!
I stamped 1 of the paws around the scallops on the card, the middle of the paw is a heart, I colored that with my red Spica glitter pen. I used those pens on the dogs collars too. I cut the black and GP white card stock with my Creative Memories circle cutter. I stamped using my Ranger Distress Black Soot and colored with my Copics, I did some masking too. I stamped all the dog sentiments at the top, LOL!
Oh what a gorgeous day we're having! So warm, supposed to get close to 70, and the sun is shining. I sure hope Spring is just around the corner!

big ol' best friend
Happy Monday! Well, maybe not, LOL, it's happy to me. Today, we can start showing some sneak peeks of the new Hanna Stamps that are going to be released this Friday, March 14th! Are you a dog lover? How about a game lover, a guy lover or love to workout?? Well, if you love any one of these, you are in for a treat! Here is my sneak peek of My Best Friend, there are 10 stamps in this set, I used 7 of them on this card. There are 2 more dog stamp sets that go with this one, small and large breed, every dog you can imagine, and they are darling!!
I used paper from DCWV, The Old World Stack from my friend Kookie. I did the paper piecing technique, and colored with my Copic markers. I love the brownish paper for the dog, I thought he really looked good in this paper! I used some vintage glass glitter, Barbara Trombley's art glitter in Indian Summer on Hanna 's scarf around her waist, on the bone and dogs collar. I've been wanting to try glass glitter and I was thrilled to see Cindy carrying it in her store! I filled the flower slide that's on the Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill, by SU! with Glossy Accents and poured the glitter on it. I used my tracing wheel for the faux stitching and the slit punch for the scallops at the top.
I can't wait to see what you do with all the new sets coming out Friday!

tag bookmarks
YIPPEE! We have a snow day today on a Friday!!! That just makes me happy all over, LOL! We rarely get snow, thank goodness, but to have a FRIDAY snow day is fantastic for me! I have to travel so far to work in these mountains I just can't make it! Sooooooo.......I can stamp :)
The sets I used are Book Lovers, Story of Me and Flourishes. The Flourishes set makes perfect accents on cards. I used SU! confetti cream card stock to make the tags and I punched the top corners with my tag corner punch, I used the jumbo eyelets at the top, I colored the 1st one black with my Copic marker. I used paper from the Pastel Paper Pad and metal corners from Tattered Angels and Bonnie's Best.
I used t!m holtz Grungeboard , I colored it with my Copic's too. The little guy's glasses have Glossy Accents on them to make them look like glass, and sparkles on his crown. I stamped the images with my fav Ranger Distress Walnut Stain and Black Soot ink and colored with my Copic's.
I cut the definition out of an old dictionary for wise and put it across the top of the owl bookmark. I did faux stitching with my tracing wheel and sponged the edges of everything with Walnut ink. The ribbon is by May Arts and Martha Stewart. I braided the May Arts cord on the owl card up about 2" and I sewed 2 vintage button's back to back to hold the braid in place, then I tied knots in each end of the cords.
We have about 4" and it's still coming down. Mom in Mtn.View has 14" so far, unbelievable!
Well, on to my tag book marks! I love these new soon to be released Crafty Secrets sets with a reading theme to them. They would be great to make teacher gifts, librarian, anybody that loves to read, or they would be cute to use scraping a family album!

bird lovers box
Good afternoon! How are y'all? It's really rainy here today. Actually the whole state is under some kind of watch or warning from flash flood, tornado and winter weather advisories! This is the place to be if you want all 4 seasons in the same day, LOL!!
This is a box I got at Hobby Lobby on clearance after Christmas. I wanted to alter it and have finally got the opportunity to do it!
So what do you think? I like it this way much better, LOL! I used my new soon to be released Crafty Secrets Bird Lovers set. It's a large set of 20 stamps, everything from birds flying, singing, sitting on a branch, nests, eggs, row of flowers and cute sentiments!

The buttons are vintage from my button jar, the silver feet are from Cindy at StarLitStudio, I've had those for awhile too and couldn't wait to use them! The pink knob on the lid is from Hobby Lobby, but, Cindy has then in her store too.
All the images are stamped with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress ink and colored with Copic's. The green ribbon is by SU! the pink seam binding is by Martha Stewart.
The frame is from the CS Sweet Chips Chipboard die cut shapes and I've attached Making Memories brads on each end.
Look at this sweet little chipboard bird! The bird was in the CS Sweet Chips Chipboard Little Folding House.
These singing birds are stamped on paper and adhered to an oval piece of chipboard, I put loopy brads on each end with ribbon through the loops.
I stamped these birds on chipboard, cut them out, colored and adhered them with Dimensionals. I stamped the row of flowers on 3 sides of the box.
I had so much fun making this, it didn't take very long at all compared to me making a card, LOL!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonder day!
