mmmmm chocolate!!

Here's another sweet Riley, Coffee Riley, he's just the cutest little moose, I get really excited thinking about what's in store for us with these cute images by Hanna Stamps! I love this Riley in his easy chair, so darn cute! He will be released Feb.1st at Hanna Stamps!

Riley is all cozy in his chair with his PJ's on eating his chocolate. He goes a little ga-ga over chocolate, can't you see it in his eyes? HA!

Riley's PJ's are paper pieced, I used my Basic Grey Pheobe 6x6 paper pad, (eclecticPaperie has it on sale right now) SU! Chocolate Chip and Georgia Pacific white cardstock from Wal-Mart. The sentiment is stamped with SU! Rough Edges Alpha. The chocolates in Riley's hand and the box of chocolates are from the Sweet Celebrations set By Hanna Stamps. I made the scalloped square with my Nestabilities. I did the coloring with my Copic markers and I put Cowboy Dewdrops in the corners. The yummy satin ribbon is by May Arts.

I went to my mom's Saturday and we went to a flea market, one of my faves in Mtn. View. I came home with this pink table runner. It's felt with some great trim on it! I got the easel too for cards. We went to a cute quilt shop too, it's fairly new and I found out the owner is from here in Greers Ferry, small world! I got the little pin cushion there, it's made out of wool with hand stitching on the flower and it's filled with sand.
Have you ever seen buttons made out of deer horns?? ah, close your eyes Riley *snort* The lady at the quilt shop got this idea for some vests she made. She had her husband cut these from the horns. She put one at the top of the vest, it really looked nice! I've got buttons made from plastic, wood, shell, metal and now deer horns, LOL!

The perfect weekend comes to an end, to quick of course!
I hope y'all have a great week, thanks for stopping by!

Domestic Goddess Sneak Peek

Here is my sneak peek of the Domestic Goddess set by Hanna Stamps. She will be part of the give-away tomorrow night at the Hanna Stamps Forum over on Splitcoast. We're celebrating Kristi's birthday! Be sure and go check it out and wish Kristi a Happy Birthday!!

The Domestic Goddess Hanna is a set of 12. She has all she needs to take care of her house, or she could be cleaning house for her wicked step sisters just waiting to meet her prince charming! I used a sentiment from the Things Hanna Would Say set, it says "This too shall pass", poifect, HA! I used SU! Brocade Blue, Basic Black, Georgia Pacific white card stock and Oh, Baby Girl paper by Basic Grey. I used Ranger Distress Black Soot ink and Copic markers.

Hanna's dress and vacuum are paper pieced. I love this technique with my Hanna's, it's just like playing with paper dolls! I did some faux stitching with my tracing wheel and added 2 black brads. She has some bling on her neck, it's a blue crystal from Amuse Creative Candy.

See the cute little iron charm? Kristi has oodles of charms over at Hanna Stamps, there are over 70 different ones to choose from, I think I need them all!!!
Tomorrow is Friday, oh yeah, I love Fridays!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Riley is flyin' high!

I got my new Plane Riley, isn't he just the cutest thing flying his polka dot airplane, LOL!
This is a yet to be released stamp from Hanna Stamps! It's really a fun stamp, the banner behind the plane is blank so you can put any sentiment you want! He's got a birthday banner with a popped up cupcake from the yet to be released Coffee Riley stamp and the Happy Birthday is from the Things Hanna Would Say stamp set. I think someone has a birthday this week, hmmmm, who could that be? ;) Why, it's Kristi Ferro, owner of Hanna Stamps! She's having a birthday party on SCS in the Hanna Member Forum. It's this Friday Jan. 25, go and play if you can, there will be oodles of stamp give-aways, challenges and FUN!!

I'll tell you a little bit about this card. The cardstock is SU! Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Pretty In Pink and Georgia Pacific White card stock. The patterned paper is by DCWV, it's one of their mat stacks I got at Hobby Lobby. The plane and banner are paper pieced, the corner punch is glittered with Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter. The dots on the scallops are Chocolate Chip card stock punched with a hole punch, glued on and glittered with Martha Brownstone glitter. Riley, part of the plane and clouds are colored with Copic markers.
I hope you can join in the fun Friday, see ya there!!

dirty challenge for jan.

I played in the Dirty Dozen/Alumni January Girls Just Wanna Have Fun challenge over on SCS. It's a monthly challenge for the Dirty Dozen past and present that want to play!

The rules were to use a girl as the main image, use something sweet and do not do an A2 card, do any other size or shape. I decided to use the Crafty Secrets Cherubs for the girls, a heart shaped card and a sweet Valentine :) These little girls are busy designing and building their Valentine! You can get the Cherub set from ePaperie, Sassy & Sweet Crafts or Crafty Secrets.

I used my Creative Memories cutting system to make the heart shaped card, it's hinged at the top. After I cut the card I sprayed it with Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist. I cut the heart shaped paper from the Crafty Secrets Pastel Paper Pad and glued it on some chipboard from the back of a tablet and cut that out. I wanted it to be sturdy so I could glue the lace on the back of it. After I glued the lace on I attached it to the card. I glued on the white paper doilie and adhered the SU! pink taffeta ribbon to that. I stamped the cherubs with Walnut Stain Distress ink and colored them with Copic markers. I added SU! Dazzling Diamonds and Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter to their wings.
I made this little love banner for her to hold.
Go over to the galley on SCS and type in DCG108 in the search box to see all the uploads the girls did!

pocket notes & stuff

My friend Bevie put out a challenge to us to do something for ourselves. We do so much for others it's time for me! Thanks for the inspiration Bevie!

I decided to make an altered notebook. This package of sparkly denim trim is what inspired me. I got it in the clearance isle at Wal-Mart for $1. Funny what a cheap package of trim will inspire you to do, LOL!I cut a pocket off a pair of old little girl jeans. I thought it would be cute on the front of the notebook, perfect for holding pens, bookmarks and what-not.

I coverd the notebook with Basic Grey, Daisy D's paper and a scrap from an old church hymnal I found at a yard sale. The textured hearts are from Tim Holtz's Grungeboard, Tiny Dots Elements. I smooshed them in my ink pads, after they dried I sprayed them with Pink Taffy & Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. The sentiment is stamped with SU!'s Rough Edges Alpha. The background paper is stamped with Crafty Secrets Hardware & Mini Memories stamp sets. The crocheted flower is one I did several years ago when I was doing a lot of crocheting. I had probably started something and didn't finish. I think I need to make more, lol! I put a Maya Road pink velvet flower in the center with a vintage clip earring on top of that. I break off the clip with my little jewelry pliers. I made a bookmark to match using my Cuttlebug and heart dies on lightweight chipboard. I glued all the bellies down with E6000.

I put black metal corners and SU!'s Pewter Build a Brads on the book corners. I put Glossy Accents on the little Grungeboard hearts.

I put a little trail of Cowboy Dew Drops on the pocket. I just love those little baubles, they are so cute and the little bottles are cute too!

Well, I put a tiny little dent in my supplies with my me notebook, every little bit helps huh? LOL!

I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Love Shack!

Remember the song Love Shack by the B-52's? It was a fun, be-boppy song. Here are some of the lyrics. Notice the reference to glitter, WOOHOO, I knew I liked this song for a reason LOL!!!

The Love Shack is a little old place where we can get together Love Shack baby, Love Shack bay-bee. Love baby, that's where it's at, Ooo love baby, that's where it's at Sign says.. Woo... stay away fools, 'cause love rules at the Lo-o-ove Shack! Well it's set way back in the middle of a field, Just a funky old shack and I gotta get back Glitter on the mattress Glitter on the highway Glitter on the front porch Glitter on the hallway ....

Here is my little Vicki Chrisman inspired Crafty Secrets Love Shack! I used the Sweet Chips Chipboard Little House. This is the first time I've done one of these little houses and it was so much fun! I decided to fill it with Valentine chocolates. These would make the cutest little gift for your special Valentine!!

The chocolates are Butterfinger hearts and Reeses hearts...mmmmmmmm........I have not had one of them! Good for me, yeah, says who?! ugh. The papers I used to cover the house, roof, scallops, windows and door are from the Pastel and Earthy Paper Pads. I have some pipe cleaners, I call them that anyway, that are red tinsel looking. I glued those on the corners of the house and the top of the roof. The little cuties in the windows, door and front of the house are from the Valentine Love Heartwarming Vintage Stickers. I did some stamping with my SU! Rose Red Classic ink on the house with the swirl from Cherubs, the little red bird is from Baby Girl and the little swirly one by the door is from French Mail. Get those from Crafty Secrets, ePaperie or Sassy & Sweet Crafts. I punched some hearts for the window shutters and covered them with Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter. I glued the house to a chipboard coaster with E6000, it needs to be strong to hold all that candy, then I covered it with Martha Stewart Green Agate glitter, such a pretty green! I glued some Fresh Grass Dew Drops to the scallops around the bottom of the house.

I used pink eyelet ruffle trim and rick rack on the roof, and pink buttons on the scallops. I stuck this heart sticker on some chipboard, cut around it and added the glitter. I think she is so pretty!

I hope y'all have a great weekend! I'll be going to Mtn. View to see my mom, maybe I can get to a flea market or two :) Thanks for stopping by!

Sew Special Shadow Box

I got this unfinished shadow box at Hobby Lobby in their Christmas clearance stuff, I love those after Christmas sales! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I painted it with acrylic off white paint and then I painted it with Tim Holtz's Tattered Rose Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger. I glued on some pink rick rack and the outside was done! It was kind of hard to get real clear pic's with the glare from the glass, I hope you can see it. The paint and rick rack are more pink than whats showing here, a pale pink.

I covered the inside with paper from the Crafty Secrets Classic Paper Pad. I stamped the dress form, pin cushion, scissors and sentiment from the Sew Special stamp set by Crafty Secrets. I used Walnut Stain Ink by Ranger and I colored them with Copic markers, I embossed the scissors with silver EP. There are vintage buttons around the sentiment a wooden spool with pink thread in the right corner and mini scrabble tiles glued down in front. I made some tabs out of card stock and glued them at the top and bottom of the dress form so I could glue it in and it would stand up. I glued the bottom tab to the bottom of the shadow box and the top tab to the back of the box. I made a tab for the pin cushion too and glued it to the spool. I glued the pins to the back of the pin cushion. Get a load of the vintage tracing wheel!! I got it at an antique store for $2, I immediately thought of Vicki when I saw it, LOL!! It's so cool, love the old wood handle, but, it's not very good at tracing on card stock, the wheel thingys aren't so pointy, LOL!

Here is a close up of the crackle paint, so vintagey!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been working on a little Love Shack for Valentine's, I need to get some candy and take pic's, it's been fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was so nice here yesterday, in the 70's! Me and Terry did some yard work, shrub trimming and carrying off. A perfect day for it. It's supposed to be in the 70's again today with rain starting this evening. Ahhhh, love this warm weather in January!
Have a sweet day, thanks for stopping by!
Cosmo Hanna
Here's another Hanna done with the new Hanna Stamps Sweet Celebrations set being released Friday, January 4th. I used my new fav paper again, Cosmo Cricket, this is from the Gretel paper kit.
Hanna's dress is paper pieced, I stamped the dress on a tag in the kit so I could get a smaller print. She's wearing her matching hat *grin*. I stamped the box of candy from the new set and cut out one of the flaps on the box for her hat. I thought of Bunchie's cat toy's with feathers in them and got one and snipped the tip of a feather off and glued it on her hat, ta-da! It was a new toy by the way, still in the drawer, no slobber feathers on this card! I cut a strip off the tag for her hat band.
The sentiment is from the Things Hanna Would Say set. I punched a small scallop with my Marvy punch, stamped the sentiment and cut it out with my Creative Memories oval cutter.
I used Walnut Stain Distress Ink by Ranger and Copic markers for coloring. I put Martha Stewart Brownstone glitter on the scallops. The ribbon is May Arts, SU! and Martha Stewart.
Winter is here, blech. The low temps are in the teens, it just hurts. I run from the warm inside into the the freezing outside and back in as fast as I can, brrrrrrr. Can March get here any quicker?!
Don't forget to run over to Hanna Stamps tomorrow and order your new Celebration set! I know you'll love it!
I hope y'all have a toastie warm day! Thanks for stopping by!
