Yot-Soter was one of the Many-Angled Ones, whose name was invoked alongside Kthl, Shuma-Gorath, and Nyerlathortech in the Necropsy ritual.[2]

Yot-Soter was seemingly the source of many powers for the forces of the Cancerverse:
- His name was invoked during the Necropsy ritual.[2]
- While tracking down "anomalies" (marked by esoteric or non-local properties and energies) in order to find the Earth-616 Avatar of Death,[3] the agents of Many-Angled Ones used the Yot-Sotering vibrations as a marker.[1]
- Yot-Soteric transfer was also used as a teleportation mean.[4]
- The Scarlet Witch intended to prepare a Yot-Soteric enchantment to move the whole planet into Earth-616. Such enchantment required a public hecatomb.[5]

- "Soter" is the Greek term for "saviour". It was used as a title for several Greek deities, and historical kings. The Christians use the title for Jesus.
