What If...? is an animated anthology series made for Disney+, that is set in alternate realities divergent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was produced by Marvel Studios, and starred actors reprising their roles from the films.

History

On December 10, 2020, it was announced that the series would debut in Summer 2021, as originally planned.[1]

The series was announced to have two seasons, with 9 episodes each.[2]

At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, along with the announcement that the second season would debut in 2023, it was also announced that this series had been renewed for a third season.[3]
