Synopsis for 1st story
In the distant future, a middle-aged Dylan Brock runs through the ruins of New York City, chased by a trio of tentacled mechanical monstrosities. As they catch up to him, he fires a grenade at them and manages to kill one, taking out the second with a sonic shockwave. The third snares him in its tentacles as he tries to immolate it with a flamethrower, but before it can kill him it's blasted by a beam of plasma shot by a middle-aged Normie Osborn and an elderly Liz Allan. As Dylan argues that they should have stayed home and need to leave before the radiation kills them, an adult Bailey Briggs web-swings in and warns them that more of the mechanical monsters are en route. Bidding his loved ones farewell, Dylan prepares to time-jump using the Doomtech time machine strapped to his back. The horde of machine monsters arrive, killing Liz nd grabbing Normie, and Dylan suddenly finds himself decades in the past. Calming himself down, he makes his way to a derelict warehouse where he finds his past self hiding out. Explaining who he is, Old Man Dylan tells Young Dylan that his time machine is Doomtech, enabling it to genuinely change the past, but that he'll need Young Dylan's help to succeed. Old Man Dylan is tempted to use Young Dylan to fix the mistakes he feels he made throughout his life, but stays on-mission and travels even further into the past.
As civilians gawk at his unusual appearance, Old Man Dylan's symbiote gripes that it hates time travel and grumbled that Doctor Doom probably made it uncomfortable on purpose. As his symbiote transforms into a leather jacket, white shirt, black jeans, and a cane, Old Man Dylan pulls out a newspaper clipping describing Molten Man's arrest. His symbiote spots Mark Raxton obstructing traffic as his transformation activates and suggests grabbing him there and then, but Old Man Dylan tells it they need to be patient. As Raxton flies into a rage as a driver curses him out for blocking traffic, Old Man Dylan notes Spider-Man's arrival on the scene. In a nearby diner, a young Eddie Brock has lunch with his new girlfriend Anne Weying, oblivious that he's being watched by a man resembling an older version of himself--a disguised Meridius. As Eddie teasingly tries to get Anne to tell him her middle name, she says it's too embarrassing. Disgusted by human courtship rituals, Meridius rolls his eyes as Eddie continues flirting with Anne; a waiter interrupting his attempts to guess her middle name by saying his boss is on the line. As Eddie leaves to take the call, Anne notes that he must come to the restaurant a lot if he gets phone calls there; the waiter replying that Eddie comes all the time but that this is the first time he's seen him bring a woman, remarking that Anne must be special. As the waiter leaves, Meridius stands and correctly states her full name, leaving her startled and confused as to how he knew it. Before Meridius can say anything, Eddie bursts back in excitedly asking if Anne has ever seen Spider-Man before and telling her to grab his camera.
Holding up the Daily Globe clipping--with a photo taken by Eddie Brock--Old Man Dylan waits for the police to escort the captured Molten Man out onto the street. Steeling himself to see the younger version of his father, he is nonetheless caught off-guard to see his mother, young and happy, in the flesh for the first time. As Eddie snaps photos of Raxton, Old Man Dylan gawks at Anne and is told to focus up by his symbiote. Burning through the webbing binding his arms, Raxton makes a run for freedom and throws a cruiser at the cops as they try to grab him. Old Man Dylan tries to intervene but is punched in the face for his trouble. Lifting the cruiser off the injured cops using his symbiote-augmented strength, Old Man Dylan chases Raxton into an alley and transforms his civilian disguise into his body armor. Blasting Raxton with a flamethrower, Old Man Dylan punches him in the face and then transforms one arm into a massive syringe as Raxton grabs him by the throat--his molten-hot skin burning Dylan's symbiote-infused flesh. Stabbing Raxton in the gut with the syringe-arm, Old Man Dylan extracts a sample of his molten blood... only for Spider-Man to arrive and quippingly ask him to keep it family-friendly.
