Odo (黄道, Ōdō) is a member of the Night Troop under Masamori Sumimura. He usually works with Hakudo.

Appearance

Odo is a tall, broad man with a shaven head. In the anime, he wears a thick necklace of Buddhist prayer beads called either juzu (数珠, counting beads) or nenju (念珠, thought beads).

Personality

He is generally cheerful and polite.

Plot

Arresting Yomi and Yoki

Hakudo and Odo are sent to Karasumori to arrest Yomi Kasuga for defecting. They assist the four local Kekkaishi in defeating Yomi's ogre Yoki. Both Yomi and Yoki are taken away, presumably to be tried and executed.

Powers & Abilities

Odo's Sun Flare Ball

Sun Flare Ball (炎陽玉, Enyougyoku): He has the ability to form a gigantic ball of fire between his hands, which seems to explode on impact with an enemy, dealing an enormous amount of damage over a wide area. Though he typically throws it directly at enemies himself, when working with other comrades from the Night Troop, Odo will sometimes offer to let one of them knock the fireball into an enemy with a weapon, which increases the attack's speed and presumably its striking power.
