Ito Orihara (織原絲, Orihara Ito) works in Night Troop's Majinai Unit. She is extremely shy and communicates mainly by whispering into Fumiya Somegi's ear. While working, she sometimes summons a small, winged skeleton creature that may be her landlord.[1]

Appearance[]

Ito is a slender girl with light hair that is tied in twin tails style where it is secured by black ribbons.

Personality[]

Ito is very shy, and though generally fairly happy, she is very awkward around unfamiliar people: she either gives them flat, uncomfortable stares, or blushes and hides behind Fumiya. She does not seem to be bothered (or impacted at all, for that matter) by the presence of other Night Troop members, but as Fumiya is the only one she ever talks to, he has to repeat anything she says to others.[1]

Power & Abilities[]

Charm Neutralization: In order to neutralize a charm, Ito apparently needs to summon two things: a pair of large rollers, which contain several feet of striped tape used to literally drag a charm out, and a small, winged skeleton creature that is most likely her landlord. During this process, Ito assumes a prayer-like pose, closing her eyes tightly and clasping her hands in front of her to maintain her power, while the skeleton creature appears to command the rollers.[1]

Etymology[]

  • The name Ito means "thread, yarn, silk" (絲).
  • Ito's surname Orihara means "weave, weaving" (織) (ori) and "field, plain" (原) (hara).
