"Remy's Big Feelings" is the second segment of the twenty-sixth episode of Ariel. It premiered on August 18, 2025 alongside "Family Treasure Hunt".
Plot[]
Ariel, Lucia, and Fernie are excited Remy is coming over to play with them today. Flounder arrives with snacks before Sanka drops off Remy. The playdate starts inside, but Remy is reluctant to join. He forgot his favorite toy at home, and doesn't know what to do when he gets mad. Ariel mentions that she calms down when she gets mad by taking deep breaths, which Remy does. Ariel and Remy repeat the process, and Remy feels so much better.
Ariel and Remy then head inside to join the playdate. Remy hasn't played clapping before, and Ariel and her friends show them how it is played. Remy attempts it with no luck and gets mad again. So, they slow down, but this time, Remy bumps into Fernie and his deep breaths are not making him calm down. Lucia states that when she gets mad feelings she likes to draw many things. Lucia draws a picture of Remy wearing a silly hat, and Remy draws a picture of Lucia with a sillier hat.
The next adventure is looking for human stuff. Ariel spots a wiffle booth, Flounder finds a quacki-pipple, and Remy finds kelp leaf. Remy keeps looking but finds finger coral and sand cherries. Ariel reminds Remy of the different things used to control big feelings. After Fernie suggests it, Remy counts to five with Ariel and her friends. Remy feels better and thanks Fernie.
He then spots a magnifying glass, which he calls a schwizzle-mifflie. Everyone then plays fin-ball with Remy missing the ball multiple times. Remy gets mad again and practices what he learned to no avail. Remy then swims away. Later, Flounder spots Ariel hiding in a King Triton statue and decides to calm his big feelings by dancing. Ariel and her friends start dancing to the music and eventually, Remy joins in and no longer feels mad, as he did what he learned today. Remy thanks Ariel and her friends for the help before showing off his dance moves, starting with the Remy shaky-shake.
