Ariel is the titular protagonist of the Disney Jr. animated series of the same name. She is an 8-year-old mermaid princess of the underwater kingdom Atlantica.
She is based the character of the same name from both the The Little Mermaid and the 2023 live-action remake.

Ariel is an 8-year-old mermaid with dark matte skin, red hair braided in dreadlocks tied back in a ponytail with a seashell and pearl hairband. Her tail is light green with magenta fins. She has brown eyes, red eyelashes, and light shiny scales on her cheeks. She wears a pink shiny strapless and sleeveless top and a purple seashell necklace held by pearls around her neck.
Powers and abilities[]
- Tail Shimmers: Whenever Ariel gets big feelings her tail "shimmers" into different colors depending on her mood.
Trivia[]
- This is the second incarnation of Ariel to be portrayed as a black girl, following the character from the 2023 live-action remake.
- She is the only version of Ariel who is not voiced by Jodi Benson.
- Unlike the original character, Ariel does not keep her collection of human stuff a secret from her father.
- Unlike her original movie counterpart, Ariel has older twin sisters instead six sisters.
- This version of Ariel does not meet Eric as she is only a young girl, making her the first counterpart of the character to have a love interest. She is also the youngest version of the character, as Ariel is usually portrayed as over 16 years old.
