"Metal Fish" is the twenty-second episode of The Little Mermaid TV series. It originally aired on November 6, 1993.

Synopsis

The author of The Little Mermaid story, Hans Christian Andersen, boards a primitive submarine with his cat, Penny to explore the undersea realm, and crosses paths with Ariel.

• At the end of the episode, King Triton gives a voiceover that Hans Christian Andersen wrote The Little Mermaid and other fairy tales, telling the viewer that they can look for his books at their local library.
