This document outlines a mini project conducted by the Jajura TTP Team from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences to intervene on public latrine facilities and conduct hypertension screening campaigns in Jajura Town, Ethiopia in July 2023. The objectives were to construct a public latrine and screen 150 people for hypertension. Strategies included community involvement and discussions with stakeholders. Over 200 people were screened for hypertension, with 28 found to have elevated blood pressure and 7 advised to visit the health center. Two public latrines were constructed, benefiting the community. The project was completed from July 20 to August 08, 2023 within the proposed budget.

INTRODUCTION
 In Ethiopia, non-communicable diseases such as
hypertension and diabetes mellitus have begun to emerge
as the leading causes of:

 According to our aim we were to screen 150 persons of
hypertension among adults in jajura town.

 About 39% of the world population does not have access
to improved sanitation and open defecation is largely a
rural phenomenon, most widely practiced in Southern

RESULT
 We were construct two public latrines
 We were screened more than 200 persons and the

findings we as follows
 we were educate more than 200 peoples about
hypertension and how they prevent themselves from
hypertension
 In addition to this specifically advice had been given for
28 elevated BP peoples, we were advised 7 persons to
visit HC.
 We advised 1 the 2nd stage known hypertensive persons
to continue medications and to visit health institution
