1. Composition:
• It must be in Filipino language
• it must be relevant to the theme
• the time duration must not exceed 3 minutes
• it must be an original composition made by DepEd personnel/teachers and/or learners
• any musical instrument may be used as accompaniment; and
• the composition shall be performed by DepEd personnel/teachers and/or learners

2. Participants
• the contest is open to all districts in Davao Oriental
• composer can be either an individual or a group
• only one entry per District will be accepted in the Division level

3. Entry format and requirements
• entries shall be submitted in an MP3 format with the title of the Jingle
as the file name. Entries must be sent through email at

profile of composers and the coach which can be found in the entry
form

7. Other requirements
• The District Brigada Eskwela Coordinator is requested to submit a
high quality photo or video clip of the municipality’s local leaders
(Municipal Mayor) in action while performing tasks related to Brigada
Eskwela (cleaning, donating, etc.).
• The same will be sent through email to
[email protected] on July 5, 2021 along with the
District BE Jingle entry.

3. BRIGADA ESKWELA IMPLEMENTATION

The implementation shall comply with the required health standards which
include social distancing measures and practicing of proper hygiene consistent
with the inter-agency task force on emerging infectious disease health protocols ,
DOH health standards, local and national quarantine rules and all other relevant
protocols as detailed DEPED taskforce COVID-19 issuances. The latest applicable
national guidelines are contained in memorandum circular number 85 issued by
the office of the President titled “establishing the operational capacity to be
observed by government agencies and instrumentatilities in areas under general
community quarantine until April 4, 2021 and for other purposes.

3. BRIGADA ESKWELA IMPLEMENTATION
The Brigada Eskwela involves physical cleaning, painting, repainting
and doing minor repairs may be done to ensure maintenance of school
facilities in time for the opening of classes in public schools, depending
on the prevailing local class classification and community quarantine
guidelines . If allowed, schools shall strictly comply with protocols and
social distancing and implement precautionary measures consistent
with the IATF health protocols, DoH protection protocols, local
quarantine rules and all other relevant protocols provided in DepEd
task force COVID-19 issuances.

3. BRIGADA ESKWELA IMPLEMENTATION
The Brigada Eskwela activities shall focus on preparations and highlight
partnership initiatives that compliment with the department’s Basic
Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) among other efforts. This
will ensure that quality basic education will continue despite the
challenges posed by COVID-19 situation while vaccine is not guaranteed
yet for all including our learners in public school.

3. BRIGADA ESKWELA IMPLEMENTATION
Prior to the implementation of Brigada Eskwela, the School coordinators are
expected to:
3.1 Coordinate with MLGU/BLGU to know the number of allowed persons
inside the school campus and other required protocols and clearances (if
applicable)
3.2 Schedule the volunteers (per purok/per organization, etc.) for the whole
duration of 28 days based on the allowable number of persons inside the
campus.
3.3 Ensure the observance of COVID-19 protocols during the conduct of the
activity

4. VACATION LEAVE CREDITS
Teaching personnel are entitled to earn vacation service credits arising
from their active involvement as member of the school brigada eskwela
working committees and or voluntary services in the Brigada activities.
Teachers shall earn a one day service credit for accumulated 8 hours of
services as committee member or volunteer but the service credit
should not exceed the total of 10 days.

5. BRIGADA PAGBASA
The Brigada Eskwela Coordinator in coordination with the School
reading coordinator is encouraged to conduct an inventory of the
school reading activities with partnership components that may be part
of Brigada Pagbasa.

6. PROPER RECORDING OF PROPERTY, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

School heads shall ensure that all the needed items classified as
property, plant and equipment are properly recorded in the book of
accounts as stipulated in DepEd order number 82 series 2011 on the
guidelines on proper recording of all donated properties. The required
documents to support the recording in the book of accounts are as
follows.
