approximately 2000 years these people are known for their works in astronomy. • Advance understanding of astronomy and religious structures. • The calendars were very useful in their planning. • developed technology for growing different crops INCA CIVILIZATION
• Also famous in Mesoamerica
– Made Scientific Ideas and tool such as : • A.roads paved with stones
• B. stone buildings that summounted earthquakes and other disasters
• C. irrigation system and techniques for storing water
• D. Calendar for 12 months to mark their religious festivals
• F. Quipu - A system with knotted ropes
• G. Inca Textiles was one of the cloth that specially prized.
AZTEC CIVILIZATION
Also made a substantial contribution to STS and to society
as a whole.
• A, Mandatory Education - their children are mandated to get education
regardless of their social class, gender or age, universal or inclusive education. • B. Chocolates - they developed chocolates during their time . They used this as their currency. They valued a cacao beans that is highly and made it as a part of their tribute to their gods • C. Antipasmodic medication - they invented this to prevent mucsle spasms and to relax muscle which could help during surgery • D. Chinampa - It is form of aztec technology for agriculture farming in which the land was divided into rectangular areas and surrounded by canals • E. Aztec Calendar - this enzbled them to plan their activities, rituals and planting season. • F. Invention of the canoe - a light narrow boat used for travelling in water systems. NOTE:
