Considering your practicum experiences, evaluate your teaching motivation throughout this
process in detail.
In the first days of my internship days, I had no idea what to do. I had doubts about
what to do when I walked into a classroom. However, I think that I have improved
myself a lot, thanks to the sudden and unplanned lectures. Thanks to my internship
teacher, I taught many unplanned lessons. With these unplanned lessons, I think I
have improved myself a lot. I felt that my productivity increased as I got used to the
environment of the school where I did my internship, to its teachers and most
importantly to its students. It was very beneficial for me that our internship teacher
did not listen to us and wanted us to see our own mistakes so that we could be
comfortable while teaching. I think there is a big difference between my first lecture
and my last lecture. While I couldn’t even express myself fully in my first lesson, I
think it is an indication of how much I have improved myself that I teach some things
that children do not know in my lesson, without telling them myself. If I only taught
the planned number of lessons, I definitely do not think that this development would
have happened. As for motivation I don’t think my motivation increased as I taught
lesson and see that I add something to my student. My motivation has increased day
by day and therefore my self-confidence has increased. When my self-confidence
increases, I think that I am a more efficient teacher for students during the lesson. I
can’t tell you how happy I felt when the students said ‘’You are teaching very well.’’
After the lecture. This makes me more confident about everything. I am sure that the
internship will add a lot to my future teaching life.
