REFLECTION JOURNAL ON INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

INTRODUCTION:
My internship at Budharaja Govt. High School, Sambalpur was a transformative experience
that allowed me to immerse myself in the world of school , whether it was teaching to students
or other duties as a teacher. Over the course of my time there, I encountered challenges, celebrated
successes, and gained invaluable insights into the teaching profession. This School Internship
program will be a lifetime memory for me.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Upon arriving at the school, I was struck by the warmth and enthusiasm of both the students and
the faculty. The respect we received as a teacher was amazing and heartwarming. The school's
commitment to providing quality education in a nurturing environment was evident from the start,
and I felt privileged to be a part of it.
CHALLENGES FACED:
Initially teaching the students was a challenge for me , I feared so much as a teacher after
entering as a teacher during the initial days . But after some days it was normal . Adapting my
teaching style to cater to the diverse learning needs of the students required patience, creativity,
and perseverance. The students were very much supportive and they were adapting me as a teacher.
My guide teachers were very much supportive to me . I will be forever thankful to both of my
Mathematics and Science guide teachers. Due to their support and cooperation my confidence
increased and teaching style improved . But some time the students were little bit indiscipline .
So it was a challenge to control them. But I came with a way to overcome this.
GROWTH AND LEARNING:
Despite the challenges, my internship provided numerous opportunities for growth and learning
engaging with the students on a daily basis allowed me to refine my teaching techniques, develop
my communication skills, and cultivate empathy and understanding. Witnessing the progress and
enthusiasm of my students was incredibly rewarding and served as a constant source of motivation.
HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:
One of the highlights of my internship was witnessing the students' increased confidence and
proficiency in both Mathematics and Science Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities,
and engaging discussions, I was able to foster a love for learning and instill a deeper understanding
of the subjects. Seeing the students actively participate and demonstrate their new found
knowledge was truly gratifying and reinforced my passion for teaching.
MY LAST DAY:
My last day of student teaching was very emotional. A bond was formed between us with the
students, teachers and other staffs of the school The school students were also emotional , they
liked us very much during these internship days. On the last day we clicked picture with the
students and at last with all the teachers of the school . The teachers gave some valuable tips to us
for our career. At last they told that we are welcomed to the school whenever we want to visit
there.
CONCLUSION:
My internship at Budharaja Govt. High School was a fulfilling and enriching experience that
allowed me to make a meaningful impact in my life and in the lives of my students. As I reflect
on my time spent teaching Physical science and Mathematics. I am reminded of the profound
influence educators have in shaping the future generation moving forward I carry with me the
lessons learned, the memories shared, and a renewed dedication to the noble profession of
teaching. This School Internship program now motivates a lot to become a teacher. It was a sweet
experience and very much essential for me.
