My Teaching Philosophy
I believe the purpose of education is to help students be prepared for the world they will
enter as they grow older and give them the ability to be able to think for themselves and their
future even though it can be stressful. The learning they will be educated on will help them be
I believe that the role of a student is supposed to try their best to pass and overall
understand any subject they are given or have chosen on their own to the best of their abilities
and make it to their future goals after high school. In my class I will try to make sure everyone
participates as it shows they understand the lesson of the day. If they participate by asking
questions, it proves they are engaging in the subject, or trying to understand it.
I believe that the role of a teacher in education is to actually teach the students the subject
assigned to them and help the student individually or as a group with not only work but with
problems they have that might feel comfortable talking to you about it. Some teachers are
mentors that will help guide and be a role model to them. Teachers should also make their area a
safe and comfortable place for students. Something I will try during my classroom is to get them
ready for the future and apply the concepts they are learning how it would be necessary. For
example, learning how to count so later on when interacting with people in stores they learn how
to count their money correctly. By engaging them in fun math activities it will motivate them
even if it is not from their school. They can go to help at other schools if requested and show
how supportive they can be. Something I will consider doing is to tell them that mistakes happen,
and it is good to learn from them to be alerted and be able to solve it. I will try my best to
comprehend each one of them and help them out through their education process. The experience
they will get from my class will connect them to real world issues.
When it comes to managing the classroom, I believe that the class should be learning to
respect and be kind to others. In order for students to be able to speak up they have to feel safe
enough and trustworthy with the teacher. It is better to have good communication with them
about how they have been doing overall physically and mentally. Since they all learn differently
visual pictures and videos will be an entertainment for them and it becomes more easier for some
students to understand the subject of the curriculum. Students are very talkative, and if they see
cool images they will find the class interesting and start paying more attention.
Teaching is a great career, and you get to be able to help develop these students’ growth
mindset over the years. The skills they learned they use it in the world like numbers. Something I
look forward to when I get into the career is watching each one of my students growing their
learning at their own pace, building relationships, and seeing how excited they are to come back
to school the next day. Teaching them that the world has many challenges will help out on
