Why did you decide to become a teacher?
-I decided to become a teacher because teaching is not just a profession it is a mission. Children who
are like clay are moulded and shaped by the hands of a teachers. No career, no work can be more
rewarding and satisfying than that of a teacher who is occupied in building the personality of a
student in order to equip him to face the challenge of a competitive world in the throes of transition
and change. One of the common reason to become a teacher is to make a positive difference in the
lives and on the future of children. For me it is a great/fulfilling challenge, stimulating the next
generation to become lifelong learners. I realized that through teaching I would be able to fulfill my
soul’s craving to make a contribution in shaping the world of tomorrow. I choose the profession
because of the passionate conviction that in it lies my special destiny.
What is your reason for application?
I applied in Deped because I think deped will serve as a greener pastures for me and I think deped
will help me grow economically and I would also liked to teach underprivileged children who can get
support fully and I would liked to teach them so that they could be 21 st century learners and they
could become globally competetive citizen and they can compete with other pupils who are given full
support just like pupils from private school.
What is the most difficult thing/challenge you have encountered and what did you do to
resolve it?
-As a teacher, the most difficult thing or challenge that I had encountered in the classroom is having a
very diverse group of learners inside the classroom. Having a diverse group of learning is hard
because they have different cultural background, socio-economic status, they have different religion,
they have different understanding of life so in order for me to overcome it , I tried to understand the
perception of each and every learner that they learn in different ways and at different paces

embracing diversity in the classroom and I also integrayed differentiated instruction when I teach.
When teaching I make sure to addrress their different needs and make use of different learning
strategies so that my instruction will be interesting and motivating to the learners ad so that all of this
learners cooperate with me and they also cooperate with one another.
What is your teaching Philosophy?
My philosophy of teaching is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational
environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and socially. A
classroom should be an environment which enable each students reach their full potential by
providing students with a safe environment in which they are free to express themselves, we give
them a key to unlock their free potential. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere that help
student to express themselves and find their true calling. I believe that there are five essential
element that are conducive to learning (1) The teacher’s role is to act as a guide (facilitator) (2)
students must have access to hands-on activities (3) students should be able to have choices and let
their curiosity direct their learning (4) Students need the opportuinty to practice skills in a safe
environment (5) Technology must be incorparated into the school day
There are three things to become a good teacher: Attitude, Knowledge and Skills. If you were
to rank them being 1 the highest and 3 the lowest, How would you rank them and why?
If I were to rank attitude, skills and knowledge from highest to lowest, I would rank attitude as the
highest because when you have attitude, you have perseverance, you have hardwork, discipline and
when you have this three things you know that what takes to learn new things about everything, you
are open to new things that could help you and have other people so if you have this attitude then you
can gain knowledge because you are ready to open to learn new things then you acquired new things
or knowledge and if you have attitude, knowledge then lastly you’ll have skills because you’ll learned
from it without applying it to certain situation so I think skill is the results from having knowledge and
knowledge is the result of having attitude.

During my initial interaction with students, I clearly shtate the ground rules that they are expected to

I believe that parents and teachers are part of the same team that help in making a students learning

With the help of technology , we can make lessons more fun and interesting. With internet access in

underperforming students. Doing this will help each students to deal with their fear of failure, and in
the long run, they will be able to build their confidence and self-esteem.
What personality traits do teachers need to have?
In my view, it is important for teachers to be patient and flexible to manage the unique needs of
different students and discipline is just as important for maintaining order in the classroom. The most
important thing, however is to have a good perception if learning issues of children are identified at an
early stage they can be corrected before they become severe. But for that to happen teachers must
have knowledge about learning disabilities and a good perception to identify them.

I think that a classroom is a perfect canvas for me to share my teaching philosophy. I will create a

It’s so important that at the Beginning of the School Year, the first thing that we have to do is to make
rules together with the students and reinforcing this Rules and Regulation. But we have to make sure
that when giving rules, we should always give them love and support. We have to let them feel that
they are someone who can understand, support and be loved.

A competent teacher seizes every opportunity to encourage learning, believing that all students can
learn. And learning isn’t limited to the classroom. To this end, the teacher takes every opportunity to
improve on his or her own professional practice, in order to provide quality learning to students.
Is it okay for you to teach in a far-flung area?
Yes, it is my passion to contribute specially in a far-flung area to develop country side. I know that a
Public Service is not choosing any location or any direction. I believe that everybody here in our
country deserves to have passionate teachers who will teach them no matter how bad the situations
are.
Choose one: Inductive or Deductive?
Deductive is teacher centered. Inductive is student centered.

The teacher gives examples to the learners then let the learners use the example to figure out the
rules by themselves. Since we are in the 21 st century, I would choose Inductive because it is student
centered. The students will be more involved in the lesson and it is very effective because it requires
students to process and analyze data.
