Point of view refers to the mode of narration that a writer or author uses to allow
the readers to “hear,” “see,” and “feel” what takes place in a story, poem, essay, and other
pieces of writing. It is an important tool that writers use to express effectively what they
want to tell the readers.

1. First Person. The author is involved in the story—he or she may be the
main character or one of the characters. The pronouns I and we are
used.

An outline is a brief summary of a particular topic that helps you organize ideas. It has
three (3) parts.
1. The topic which is the title of the paragraph or selection.
2. The main idea which is the most important thought of a paragraph or a selection
and written in Roman numerals.
3. The supporting details or the subtopics give the details of the maid idea and are
marked with capital letters.
An informational text is a non-fiction text written to inform the reader about a specific
theme or topic. They provide the reader with factual details and descriptions but avoid
expressing the writer’s opinion on the subject.
You can find informational texts in many places, including encyclopedias, research
reports, books on animals, and in history, geography, and science textbooks.
Here is an example of an informational text.

Affixes are word elements added to a root word that changes its meaning. There
are affixes that are added at the beginning or ending of a root word.
Root words are the basic element, the base of a word. Adding affixes either at the
beginning or ending of a root word can change the meaning of the root word.
The root word is fear. The affix added at the end of the root
word less. Less means without or none.

Affixes has two kinds ; a prefix and a suffix. Let us try to know first what is a
prefix.
A prefix is a letter or group of letters added before a word. It changes the meaning
of the word. Among the commonly used prefixes are in- and im- which both mean “not”.
Other examples of prefixes are pre-, post-, semi-, over-, fore-, trans-, uni-,
mono-, bi-, tri-, quad-, multi-, poly-. Let us discover these prefixes.

Affixes has two kinds ; a prefix and a suffix. Now, since we are done studying about
prefixes, let us also discover what is a suffix.
Suffixes are syllables added at the end of a word which changes the meaning of the
root word. Some root words become adjectives when a suffix is being added to it.
Example: help+ less = helpless (adjective)
In this sentence, the word helpless is from the word help. The suffix -less is added at the
end. The new word formed is helpless which means no or without any help. The new word
is now an adjective.
Examples of suffixes are -less, -ful, ness, etc.
