Nursing Informatics is the specialty that integrates
nursing science with multiple information and
analytical sciences (a listing of sciences that
integrate with NI includes but is not limited to:
computer science, cognitive science, science of
terminologies and taxonomies, information
management, library science, heuristics, archival
science, and mathematics) to identify, define,
manage, and communicate data, information,
knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice.
