2. LITERATURE REVIEW
2
In this chapter, there are 5 related literature that the researchers have collected from
the internet to give justification of the present study.
In the study of (Richards, 2018), they define cultural tourism as a type of tourism
activity in which the visitor will learn, discover, experience and take use of tangible and
intangible cultural attractions or products in a tourism destination. They mentioned that these
attractions or products are set of spiritual and emotional features of a society that
encompasses arts and architecture, historical and cultural heritage, culinary heritage,
literature, music, creative industries and the living cultures (lifestyle, value systems, beliefs
and traditions).
In a study conducted by (Kapur, 2018), religious tourism are places visited by different
people for religious purposes. These believers possess strong religious beliefs and through
this a viewpoint was formed that religious tourism would promote their well-being.
Wetterberg, O. & Lofgren, E. (2019), have stated in their study that the settings of
religious worship is changing. Some of them lose their original purpose and replaces with
new functions. These changes will continue and have effects on the societal life . The
transformation of these religious places can be determined as important int two way from
different perspectives. Internally, from religious community and externally by society.
Odessy (2020) defined in her article that culture was naturally developed and created
unity among the people and gives the sense of belonging. It also allows people to share
stories about the past. She also mentioned that there are different values attached to
tangible cultural heritage.

The study was conducted primarily to determine the contribution and importance of
Tan-awan Park in Bula. Grounded in the result presented and discussed, this study came up
with these conclusions:
a. People - the most common reasons why people visits the place is for
sightseeing only and for picture taking because of its amazing view;

depends on their main purpose of going to Tan-awan Park in the first place. If their
